Although I'm with you on the fact that she shouldn't change, papers have been reporting that it's already happened. Shame. If she wants to do that, fine, enjoy a makeover, but I hope she's not bowed to pressure.

And people should be proud of who they are, curvy or not. That is a bit of a Really? Really?! moment indeed.

So here's the thing. While I would kind of like Kim to stand up for plus-sized women and not act like it's an insult or that it means you're unhealthy - she's still really not plus-sized. Curvy yes, plus-sized no. She's a tiny little lady. So I do think she has a point in calling them out on referring to her as an example, because seriously? They could use some women who really are plus-sized and gorgeous as examples. There are plenty of them to choose from.

Oh, btw, I think the repeated "really really"s are less annoying when you don't go up in pitch on the second one. I can't think of any good abbreviations though. I'll watch whatever you choose on that, though, cuz I think you're doing a great job! <3

If I looked like Kim Kardashian and someone called me Plus Sized I would be PISSED!!! Yeah she is curvy, and she may be bigger than typical hollywood women, but typical hollywood women wear a zero or even smaller than that!! I wouldn't be that surprised if she was a size 2 or maybe a 4 at the biggest. It looks like she is bigger than that because she is always sirrounded by people that are rediculously small. She probably works so hard to maintain that figure, as I'm sure that it does not come naturally to her, she is a curvier woman by nature, so the fact that she is as small as she is is a testament to her hard work and will power, and for someone to come along and call her plus sized, that could be a huge blow to her self esteem!!! How dare they say that she is a size 14+ which is technically what plus sized clothing should be (some consider a 12 plus sized but really the cut off is 14) She is probably a 4 at the largest!!

I see your point, but if she KNOWS she's a size two, and the world can see she's slim or whatever, is it really that necessary to blog about how offended you were at being called curvy, thus putting down a crapload of women? ESPECIALLY when the source is US Weekly, which no one in their right mind should take seriously in the first place?

I follow Ashton Kutcher on twitter but actually his tweets are kinda annoying as they're mainly RTs/replies to his followers. I think he beat CNN as he's more international, I'm British and so follow BBC breaking news instead of CNN

about susan boyle. if the makeover makes HER personally happy i have no problem with i but if it is the media trying to make her more socially acceptable then screw it to hell, i dont know what the figure is on how many views her debut performance has but surely that speaks louder than plucked eyebrows and wrinklefree skin.

Hey Michelle! Great second post =) For the record I am not following Ashton either...but I am following CNN lol (and you, of course!) I heard something about donating money to Malaria or mosquito nets in Africa if 1 million people followed Ashton, also EA Games (they brought us The Sims) was going to give the 1 millionth person all the games they released in 2009 as well as make that person into a Sim in the new Sims 3 and wow I sound like a huge dork...

In other news, I love Susan Boyle just the way she is.

Also the Kim thing had me flashing back to Tyra's whole "it's OK to be 165 pounds, but I AM NOT 165 pounds!" Curvy doesn't mean someone is fat, it just means they have a shape that is the opposite of a stick. And yay for Forever 21 giving girls the option to not conform to rail-thin beauty standards.

I think the only problem with the Really? Really?! in the last video was that you raised your voice to a higher pitch on the second Really? In this video you lowered the pitch on the second Really? and that helped a lot.

If you as an grown up woman can wear a 13-year old girls clothes their is something wrong... Kim isn´t the thinest women in Hollywood but if you look outside Hollywood she is moore thin than most woman. Not many celebrity(or any human) are that thin without starving themself. And I really don´t like the fact that siez0 is the ideal. First of all it don´t look good and second it´s not healthy. I find it hard to belive for one example that Angelina got pregnant one their own, without any artificial help.

Kim is not super thin but to call her plus-size just shows how fucked up our eyes are, when it comes to the female body.

And I Really, Really like this show and you don´t need to come up with any other words for Really, Really.

This vlog is so refreshing!

It's nice to hear your opinion. I think, some times vloggers tend to hold back and not express their personal views. But this is what helps us to connect to the vloggers. You seem to really know your audience, admit when you're on the fence about things, yet still express your point of view; which is nice.

loll as for Kim they should choose some one who is actually plus size to do forever 21 ads.. and i'd say kim is probably a size 3 at most and there isn't anything plus size about that. Yes she is obviously curvy but that just means she is damn sexy. She is definitely not a plus size model material. I mean don't you all remember Americas Next Top Model's Plus size girls...Kim K. definitely doesn't fall in that category. I liked that she responded to the write up but i don't think she complained about the right thing. "so to be classified as a fuller figured woman of extra large proportions is a little offensive" ... it shouldn't be offensive. What should worry her is what the media is trying to convey as regular/plus size and how this effects what people look up to.

You shouldn't change the Really? Really? Contrary to some of the other people I feel the higher pitch of the second Really? gives it it's magic. Okay, maybe you did say it a bit much in the first vlog, but this was perfect. Reserve the Really? Really?'s for after you've explained what the case is, that way there's only about 3-4 Really? Really?'s per episode, but keep the pitch... please?

Also, as previous posters have mentioned your appeal came too late, they've already gotten to Susan Boyle...

just say it al little less often than in the first episode.. I think RR or other given options are less convincing... really? REALLY?? just wraps up your story in a nice and funny way and it's more interesting than the other versions (in my opinion)

Alright...dunno, am I the only one here with this opinion or not... Susan was just kind of unkept, the makeover is fine; it isn't like 5 plastic surgeries, fake tan etc...she didn't get the Hollywood look, she just got some make up, better hair care and different clothes. It's not like she's changed her personality overnight.

If you're likely to appear on TV every week, wouldn't you wanna look your best? I would.

Seems to me people want her to be preserved as this token of "not really attractive but oh so talented". Is that really what she's about?

Well, I have to confess...I didn't get what all the Susan fuss was about. Like you had to be young, beautiful and then and only then you could be talented.

Mybe it's the cultural differences showing. Growing up in post-communist country in the middle of the Europe still not quite used to our country belonging to the 1st world. I grew up listening to/watching incredibly talented people who weren't the symbol of attractive.

Even our first Pop Idol was a not really model looking girl (who might be gay...yay!), our first X Factor winner was a guy in his mid-40's with great voice.

I'm sorry, I don't get the whole Susan Boyle thing.

She has a dream, she wants to be a famous singer, she wants to sing her heart out, she wants to be a star. And the looks go with it...don't they. Why don't you people just let her have her dream without your own views on what she might or might not want getting in the way.

Checked out the Kim lady, lovely curves, yum! And yeah, I agree the papers should find someone else as a poster girl for plus sizes. This one's only curvy, otherwise pretty tiny. I understand she's a little pissed off. :o)

Well... she kind of became an instant icon because of the way she looked. She proved to us that sometimes looks really don't say anything about someone. The video of her performance was proof that if you don't look pretty, people will automatically think you're not capable of anything. If she'd come on stage looking the way she does now, the effect would have been so much less than it was. The mass media is overrun by attractive people with (quite often questionable) talent, but here was someone who did the exact opposite. Now that she's changed her looks and become more standard most of her "magic" has disappeared along with her flowery dresses and wild hair. Now she's just another person who can sing (granted, a little older than usual), but she's no longer an icon for the wrong-ness (not an actual word, I know) of first impressions.

Oh man Susan Boyle! I think this is sad. I mean someone clearly dressed her, that is a burberry scarf....blah. The only thing that makes me a little happy is she still has that snarky hand on her hip. Too cute.

Nice vlog this week as usual, mama beav!! you did a fine job toning down the really, reallys this week, it was perfect :)

As for the Kim Kardashain moment...i thought it was a really, REALLY moment...because she doesnt in fact have BEAUTIFUL curves and why is she basically denying herself said curves....i mean thats def a double R moment.

And for the record i like the double R reference and what you said at the end about the "insert word here moment" that was wicked funny :)

Michelle, I am so glad you talked about Carrie Prejean. I don't even want to call her Miss California, I'm ashamed that she represented our state. and about the Kim Kardashain thing, i think it was a little too much for her to post on her personal blog her actual size, though i understand as a female being placed with the 'plus size' section probably wasn't great, even though her body is AMAZING, and it would boost any young girls confidence to know plus size could mean looking like her

Kim's story was definantly a Really, Really......Really, Really , ok I think you know where I'm going. I have a rather mid size asset and hips as well. The leg portion can fit into a size 2, but when the rest tries to join in, it's not happening. Sorry Kim, you know as well as I do, the top part gives you trouble when you are picking out jeans. Also, please embrace your curves, especially the ones you have. Curves are sexy. ;)

Really, really cool episode! The number of times you said really, really?! was better this time. Not that I was annoyed the last time, but it's better this way. I totally agree with everything you said. Susan Boyle rocks the way she is!! Ok, maybe some small changes, but she should definitely stay herself.

Kim should've embraced the plus size thing... but on the other hand girls also might get confused: "if that's plus size, that what am I?! A cow?!" But that she go offended by it is a little lame...

BTW: I'm with you on Melissa and T&S. I like their music, I'm just not huge fans, and don't own their music on CD. Music is about the music for me, and not really about the people making it...

Another really, Really?! moment I had this week was when Susan Boyle was asked out by that guy on Larry King. I mean you know it is genuine when he has to do it on television, right? I truly hope the media, agents, and press don't destroy her.

Also I felt that Kim moment was a really, really?! moment. She does have 'extra large proportions' (to hollywood standards) in some areas so she is plus size, and she should be happy about it because a lot of girls would kill for her curves.

A really REALLY moment I read about this week was that Oprah had a show about teaching your children about sex and her guest doctor suggested that all moms should give their daughters vibrators and explain clitoral stimulation. Really!

The Really Really's in the 1st blog were a lot but to me was 'kinda' cute because the nerves of your 1st vlog and it stuck in our heads because the repetition, ha. Now in your 2nd, I think that you did a great job and went natural and will be even better in the 3rd, 4th... Really fine for me leaving it like it is. You also can say the Really "R" Moments, or "R" Really Moments (you and us). Whatever, who am I to say someting regarding the English language...

the thing we love about her most IS that she is who she is, she came on stage looking like she did, people laughed and were thinking 'what the hell! haha" but she turned their heads right around when she sang!

Michelle, you seem to make me smile on the worst of days. I was just in a car wreck 2 hours ago and as soon as I got home I watched this video. I just wanted to thank you for being you.

As for the Ashton vs. CNN Twitter War, I unfollowed Ashton once they publicly announced the race for one million followers. I really didn't enjoy his tweets like I do the other people I follow (you are one of them that I enjoy;) ). I basically followed him when I first got my Twitter account, but I have since learned from that mistake.

I have to agree with you. I wish I could have Susan Boyle on my shelf. I think it is shitty of the media to criticize Susan on her appearance. They should let her be the amazing singer she is without worrying about what she wears or how her hair is styled. Until they can get on a stage and prove as many people wrong like she did, I think they should shut up.

Miss California really ticked me off. Your rant was about the same as mine.
