She Got Me Pregnant: Episode 26Dana of Mombian.com discusses two new memoirs about the journey to single motherhood, including the cynical and funny My Miserable, Lonely, Lesbian Pregnancy. She vlogs without Helen this week, but instead has a very special guest: her mom. Hear what a grandmother has to say about the differences between being a parent and being a grandparent, what she first thought when she found out her lesbian daughter was becoming a mother, and how she talks about their family with friends and colleagues. Thanks!
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy these vlogs. I'm not currently a parent but I hope to be one some day and it's wonderful to have a role model out there who can talk about relevant issues in a relatable way.
I really enjoyed seeing Dana's mom this week. What a great mom! She is a wonderful example of a loving, supportive mother. You are very lucky to have her! I liked what she had to say about what really matters in a relationship.
In terms of future topics, I would be interested to hear about the process of deciding when to have a baby and the decision of how to conceive it, but I know that is a private matter and you may not want to discuss that in such an open forum. I would also like to hear about the process of choosing a nursery school or elementary school for children and how being the child of a same-sex couple figures into that equation.
Thanks!
Thanks, Emily! Good suggestions--stay tuned!
