Michelle Paradise's "Exes & Ohs" Video Blog: Episode 6

There is something to be said about a one-woman vlog which somehow works in the phrase "loss of bladder control."

As to what exactly should be said about the vlog, well I will have to get back to you about that!  lol

But count me in as the 3rd person who is interested in seeing more non-sequiter vlogs if you have the notion to continue.

And I agree with my fellow poster...to mention a snug fitting tee without revealing this particular tee even once is simply not fair.  :(

Seriously, Sarah SO needs to get Michelle to come back and continue doing a vlog for AE, anything... even reading the damn phone book because this is just the best thing ever. Also, does Michelle have to actually HAVE a reason to post a vlog on here? Because honestly, watching her ramble on and on about things is entertaining in itself :D

I just finished watching the last episode and I have to say, it was my favorite one of them all. I loved the scene with Sam and her dad, such a fantastic scene!

Crutch ... SO needs to stop singing. Please? Maybe she could take on poetry instead? No, nix that, it would probably end up sounding like the horrid carnival stories that Jenny from the L Word writes. Talk about icepicks in your eyes.

Also, the hot chick that moved to Jennifer's apartment building, dang! She SO needs to come back and Jennifer needs to hook up with her :D

Honestly, the episode was fantastic, the only negative thing I have to say is that it was SO short but hopefully Logo will pick up the show for second season and make the episodes longer (Please, Logo!).

I have to say, I'm positively surprised at how well written and well acted this show is and it's such fun to watch! Logo has definitely stepped on something super special and hope they know it!

And yeah, Michelle, these vlogs of yours are epic! Can't wait for next week's responses :D ...

I just love your show. Six episodes is not enough, I hope they will do a second season. The last episode was the best.

I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved Exes & Ohs! I was really happy when I found out it was based on the short “The Ten Rules”, which is still one of my favorite short films ever!

And I actually mean this, the first time I saw “The Ten Rules”, amidst a collection of other lesbian short-films on DVD, I absolutely loved it and I thought it was one of the best shorts I had seen in a long time – I love short films. So I was very excited when I found out about Exes & Ohs and it was wonderful to see you developing those characters in a series!

I do hope, as many others here, that you are able to keep a regular vlog on AfterEllen and since you are such a wonderful writer and actor I would like to see you talking a bit more about writing, the writing process, the creation of characters etc. Whatever you decide to talk about I do hope you stay with us!

I have a “couple” of questions (I am using “a couple” in the hopes that you might actually read them before you find out they are 4):

First, could you describe your writing process? Is it different depending if you are writing a short movie or a series? What are the things you usually do to be able to write (i.e. do you write at home? Do you go somewhere to write?).

Second, you are an excellent comedy writer, have you ever written other types of material such as drama, short-stories, etc? Is comedy your chosen genre?

Third, do you have any plans for a feature film or other short films in the future? 

Fourth, your bio says you have a Masters in comparative literature, could you talk a bit about the theme of your dissertation?

(I realize there are too many questions but I had to try!)

Wow - this has been such an enjoyable 6 weeks - Exes and Ohs as well as your vlogs.  Thanks for doing them!

So sad to see the last episode, but what an ending!  I have to say (and this may be very unpopular, but what the heck, it's a democracy, right?) I think Lauren & Jen have WAY MORE chemistry than Sienna & Jen. 

Not that there's anything bad about Sienna, in fact she looks like a lovely girl, and I'm sure she is, and she'll make someone an awesome girlfriend, just not Jen (please)....Ok I'm picking up your rambling habits, so I'll sign off here.  Just - thank you - it's been fun, and BRING BACK Lauren!!!!!(please) xxxxxx&ooooooo

I love every vlog you´ve done. You are soooo cute and funny and charming and...well I can go on and on and on forever :-D. I hope you can be able to do a vlog every week, whatever you want to talk about but please keep your good sense of humor and your  rambling habits I really enjoy watching you do that.

By the way, I love your show, I can´t seen all the episodes (because Í´m from Mexico) but, fortunatly, I´ve been able to download episode 4 and 5, and of corse the first in Logo and they´re awesome, very entertaining and funny. I wish you get well very soon.

That was some kind of strangely erotic yet adorable strip tease of a vlog. Sorry if my Xena Call tips made you butcher it even more but that was some funny shit. You're not supposed to move your jaw. I hope you don't stop trying to perfect it. It's nice to have goals, you know. Maybe you can have your guestbians attempt it as well. It could be the intro music!

Also, pleeeaaaase keep vlogging about anything and everything and it can be as nonsequiter-y as you like.

I do have 2 suggestions to decrease the nonsequiteryness of your vlogs:

1. Cue Cards

2. Ritalin.

BUT I don't think you should change a thing. You're like Sarah Warn's worst nightmare but you're so adorable, that it doesn't matter that you're rambling. The rambling is good. God, now I'm doing it...

Really, everthing was coming full circle. It was so beautiful to see Sam and her dad start to work things out. And then there was Kris, and Chris. The two of them = cuteness! And I had a feeling that Crutch had an admirer. It's about time she gets some love!

Oh, and can I say that I was shocked that Jennifer slept with Sienna? OMG, things just got complicated! I know she broke one of the rules when she did that!!

I like the rambling, and I like the silliness. It cracks me up everytime. But, 1-900-PORN-NOW lady, you are such a tease! You point out several times your tee is tight, but you don't let us decide if that really is the case. Fitted tees are supposed to be a bit on the tight side ;p

I think your video blogs are all very good.    And seriously your just so cute when you ramble on...its so adorable.    And your video blogs are always good,   sick or not you are seriouly a very funny person.   I love the Xena call I almost fell out of my chair.   I will certainly write in too Logo and beg for more of the show.  I love Ex's and Oh's.   

I also think it would be awesome if you had your own blog every week.    You really could read the phone book and make it sound interesting.   You just have a certain charm about you.   Keep up the good work.

Thanks for answering my question about whether Sam's parents were modeled after the Cheneys - it proves how amazing you are, you made this point without knowing it!

Also, I saw a recent promo for Exes and Ohs where you said your character's name was Jennifer Baker - instead of Butler - why did you change it (and why didn't Logo)?

Finally, you have to keep doing a vlog even if it is not about your show (at least until your second season airs :) - and call it A Piece of Paradise - either sharing a piece of your mind or more like 1-900-Porn-Now - totally your choice :)
