Live Chat with Jane Espenson
Jane is currently a writer/co-executive producer for Battlestar Galactica, a consulting producer on Dollhouse, and the showrunner/exec producer for the upcoming Battlestar spinoff Caprica. She was previously a staff writer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer — which featured a groundbreaking lesbian storyline — and has written for many other shows including Ellen (the sitcom Ellen DeGeneres came out on), Tru Calling, and Gilmore Girls. Read more about Jane's career on Wikipedia. She was kind enough to agree to answer your questions about the shows she's worked on, and the process of writing for TV in general. Welcome to our live chat with TV writer and executive producer
Awesome!!
I'm gutted that I missed this Q&A session. Jane Espenson is awesome and has worked on pretty much all my favourite tv shows in the past decade. I'm going to really miss BSG when it's gone :(
Edit: Darn typo's..
i heart jane
and i too miss her blog. hopefully she'll have the opportunity to write some witty dialogue on Caprica.
Yay!
Jane Espenson is one of my favorite writers. This was a great Q&A session. I have to correct someone, though. Laurel Holloman's character on Angel was neither kick-ass nor a vampire...she was a truly pathetic character....a complete and total tool.
