I was pretty underwhelmed by the XNA games as well, they weren't very good at all.

Was the giant Lara Croft poster just your clever way of calming down the people who disagreed with her winning the award? Cuz, really, how can anyone be angry about anything with giant Angelina boobs in the middle of the screen?

I just had one little comment about the whole texting thing in Mario Kart. I don't think it had anything to do with the Wii not having the capabilities to do real texting but perhaps more to do with parental ratings. Games that allow people to freely text what they want tend to have higher parental ratings just because you can't control what people post. With a game like Mario Kart, there will be lots of young kids playing in a very competitive virtual environment and I can just see a lot of harassment going on.

I completely agree that fixed messages is very annoying but I can also see why Nintendo may have chosen to make that decision.

You guessed right :P I don't have a 360 because I pretty much just upgraded from the PS2 which I bought because of Metal Gear to begin with. I'm not a Sony fangirl, I swear!! I'm a Metal Gear fan though, so once I heard the second installment was coming onto the PS2 (that and God of War), I knew I had to get one. Then after I promptly bought a Gamecube because of the original MGS remake with better graphics (I'm a sucker for graphics and game intros), and then MGS4 comes out on the PS3 in June so I thought PS3 would be my best move. So far though, I have to agree with you, the only really awesome games have been Heavenly Sword and Uncharted, although I did like Assassin's Creed too and right now am playing Rock Band and Unreal Tournament 3.

 

I'm convinced that I'm getting a 360 but I don't know which one to buy. There's the Elite and then the Arcade packages and the core 20GB drive system. I really want backward capability though, so I can play Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. And I really want to avoid those glitches I heard people talking about (with the early 360s) and game freezes. Assuming that money isn't an obstacle, which (360) system should I get? I'd appreciate any help :)

The point Halcyon makes is a very good one and I can see that as a reason whyt he texting is limited.

As far as the headaches goes, it has mostly been with first person point of view games.. I do just fine with Wii sports haha.. though I give up after awhile because I get tired from all the moving around.

Anyways you girls are hilarious and its always fun to watch!

let me give you a metaphor. Lara winning this year, instead of a few years ago, is like Russel Crowe winning for Gladiator, rather than The Insider, which is what he SHOULD have won for......I don't necessarily disagree with the choice, I just didn't think it was *her* year, in particular.

That's my defense of my own reaction. I digress ...........

I think Gamer and Geek are almost synonymous ......... right? That's how I think about myself, at any rate.

Just had a question about steering wheels for the PS3. Do you have one? Have you used one? Can you recommend one?

There is a few good driving games coming out soon (and are out already) on PS3 and I thought that since I prance around the lounge room with a (GHIII) guitar, that me and a steering wheel would look right at home...

I love how geeky you guys are! My girlfriend isn't a gamer like me (she's always moaning how I love my x360 more than her...) but says she'll have a go if I find a game she likes. Any ideas anyone? I thought Viva Pinata might do it but she says it's childish and I sort of agree (though it's good fun too!)

What do you guys think about Wii Fit? It supposed to be released here in the U.S. in May.

I don't have any kind of console, but I wish I did have one now. You girls really bring out the gamer in everyone!

my sister seems to get really affected by the refresh rate time of lcd & monitor screens. She used to get migraines until we figured it out. Just boost your refresh rate up and maybe that might help?

of course motion sickness is an entirely different thing.. did anyone play Descent? lol that game was baaaaaaaaaad

congrats on it, this is the first time im posting a comment, but i ve been wanting to do so for about 5 vlogs (dont be so hard on the psp, they gave us loco roco)

i game a lot, but only ds and psp (until 3 weeks ago), so if you can review some games ill appreciate that. i recently bought a wii (3 weeks ago :D), and i loved it, i ve been playing no more heroes, and baseball and tennis in the wii sports,  :)

maybe you can comment on super smash bros brawl?
