Great Vlog
Great vlog as always ladies :O)
I was just wondering if either of you ever have to look up walkthroughs online for help with games?
I had to a couple of times when I played tombraider on the Wii.
Walk throughs..
Yes now and again we do indeed succumb to the shame that is the walkthrough. I have this thing where I will sit there stuck for hours and hours and not look and then just through sheer frustration look at them. I think so long as people don't use them to just read through and get through the game quicker then they're fine.
What about you?
QuickSpot for DS
burnout paradise

i love the drive´s license jajaj it was so funny, keep it real jaja byeee

aww how cute :) That's really nice to see a lesbian couple who share the same interests and have been together so long! :D
I'd also like to comment on your t-shirts, they're awesome :D
You two manage to make me laugh, and give me the cool feelings in your stomach when you're about to play a new game :D (I went through a stage where games were just doing my head in, but I've got my games mo'jo back now thanks! :D)
Keep up the great vlogs! :D xx
I LOVE YOUR T-SHIRTS! BOTH
I LOVE YOUR T-SHIRTS! BOTH OF THEM!!!!!!!!!
About showing your age .... no one can call themselves a true gamer unless they have tried to navigate the Atari.
My lady and I met online, in a very unusual way as well. I don't think it's all that uncommon ... especially in this day and age.
Spore. I don't know if I'm ready for this - especially since I gave the last few months of my life away to WoW. In fact, the next WoW expansion pack is coming out at the beginning of the summer. *sigh*
Gay Hash-Brownies = awesome.
Most sports games are silly, I think. The one exception has to be the SSX Snowboarding series on PS2. I LOVE sports, but I usually find sports v-games to be completely ridiculous and rather boring. Basketball, football, hockey, baseball ... all lame.
Great Cute Game: Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 on PS2. Totally my guilty Pleasure. And Mario Party 8 on the Wii. While technically a puzzle game, it's Mario World which is beyond the pale on the cuteness level.
Speaking of quirky, cute, obviously made by the Japanese; have you ladies ever played Katamari Damacy?
My "oscar" worthy games -
Best new Wii Game - Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess
Best line - Guitar Hero
Best Game to live up to Hype - Assassin's Creed
Best Story - Mass Effect
Best Art Direction - Bioshock
Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates. [Mark Twain]
Katamari
Heyyyyy
Yeah we've played it and loved it. Any games like that which really show some imagination and inventiveness on behalf of the developers is great. There are a few games that come out every once in a while like that and it's always fun to check them out.
Thanks for the recommendations for the Oscars...... check out our vlog this week to see which ones make it!

Bally Basic
Ah, I had a Commodore Vic-20 too. But I can 1-up you guys with my Bally Basic!
Bitmap graphics with 4 colors and 4k ram. Wewt!
I think I was playing video games in the womb somehow.
_________
The Vulcan mating season of Pom-far is upon us!
Exclusive Connections for Geeks (video)
OMG, 4 color 4k RAM Basic! Blast from my past!
4k RAM, dangman! Though it was cutting edge at the time. You should definitely win something for that!
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
Ok, so it's not Guitar Hero IV Lesbian Edition, but Activision's announcement this week of an Aerosmith Guitar Hero title is a pretty sweet piece of news anyways.
Hopefully the attempt of a storyline, the inclusion of opening acts and the wide range of music that Aerosmith have bought out will make this title...umm...rock.
Let also hope that the size of Steven Tyler's gargantuan mouth doesn't look as scary in the game as it does in the stills...
Puzzle Quest
I have this game on my Xbox 360 and even my non-gamer girlfriend is hooked! Now we're battling for Xbox time :)
I have Mass Effect for the Xbox but I will be getting the PC version as well because, knowing Bioware, it will be moddable (that a word?).

Cool websites
Hiya,
Well it depends what you're looking for. If you're into geeks and gadget stuff, checkout www.lesbiangeek.com. If you want some more general gaming chat and news, check out www.thumbbandits.com.
If you're looking for just your every day gaming news etc, you could try news sites like kotaku.com or qjnet.com
Hope that helps!

Love your shirts
=D
Aww thanks for the mention, that actually made my day!
I had no idea there were so many DS games... I've never noticed much of a selection in stores. I'm primarily a X360 geek but my sister who's a fan of Nintendo has a DS (actually this came in very useful when she was in hospital too!) Got to say that the best DS game is probably Mario Kart but it gets a bit competitive with a group of people!
And yeah great t-shirts guys! Are you in competition with Sarah & Lori? ;)
Loved the T-Shirts
Loved the Emo T-shirt
I've watched the blog a few times, but when you had the rows of DS games lined up I've never been so distracted. How do you get around to playing so many games on so many different consoles?
Looking forward to the Oscars special
Great Vlog.
You have the largest games collection I've ever seen! Do you lend your games to your friends or are you quite possesive over them? I'm not hinting, I haven't got a games console at the mo, but was just wondering. I'm quite posessive over my games and rarely lend them to people. How nasty am I! I should spread the gamers love and get people interested in gaming.
Hahaha.. share games? Are you insane? ;op
Hey,
We do occasionally let people borrow the games, but we are a bit anal about it all lol. How annoying I know. Having kids means having to loan games at times to friends of theirs too so it's always a case of making sure they come back the way they left the house lol. Angela is busy right now as I type this, so I can let you in on a secret - she alphabetises them... too cute. lol.

Catch-up
Whew, great vlog!
I've been catching up after being away for a while (as much as I love the vlog, I must say I'm pleased you've trimmed it down a bit. Quality not quantity!) and I was hella interested to hear about DS titles.
I bought this weird guitar game for my DS the other day... Jam Session or something, anyway, it was boasting X number of songs but when I actually started playing, it turned out I only recognised about 5 songs, there were some I didn't know, but then about 20 french songs ... what's that all about?
That said, If you're interesed in making music (and not just pressing buttons in time to a rhythm) then this is a really good game. It teaches about about chord progression and recognising chords from the sounds and the 'free play' option is cool as there are loads of chords available online so you can strum and sing your fave tunes.
Easier than a real guitar, but nothing beats the calloused fingers... ok, maybe not...
Ok, I'm having a dialema... my sister has a Wii and guitar hero is great! But I only have a PS2. Should I get 'Rock Band' even though it would be for PS2, or should I go for Guitar Hero so I can get all 3 titles?
Thanks :)
Tough Call!
Ok, Guitar Hero is without doubt an awesome series of games, but there's only one out on the Wii at the moment anyway (Guitar Hero III) soooo if I were you, I'd get Rock Band. Rock Band is the next gen of social gaming and it's definitely worth having, you can rock with your sister on that for a while and then save up and get Guitar Hero titles cheap hopefully. Hahahaha, hope that helped.
xx
Final Fantasy?
Hope you guys talk about Final Fantasy soon. Have you played Final Fantasy? Just asking.
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour
William Blake
Don't be sad....
but neither of us are very big Final Fantasy fans. We appreciate them for their beauty, storylines and ongoing series.... but the whole stop start thing isn't that much fun really for us. We have some friends who adore them though so we understand that some people just can't get enough and we'll mention a few upcoming FF titles in some upcoming blogs.
xx
spooooore
its gonna rock!
ooh and that is so awsome news about mass effect coming to pc. made ma day!
wow
Great Vlog!
Yeah I was a little ehhh on Burnout Paradise as well! I thik they changed it a little too much too fast!
It's great being able to watch your vlog and recongnize so many spines of the games behind you. I manage the game department at a best buy in Texas. I have actually used your comments when selling a game or system to a customer.
As for the Oscars...
Best Social Game of the Year - Rockband!
Best Storyline - Mass Effect!
Thanks for the shoutout
Hey Girls...I just wanted to thank you for answering my question about how you met. I wasn't trying to pry... I guess I was just wondering if one turned the other of you onto gaming OR if gaming brought the two of you together.... My girlfriend isn't really into gaming.....as much as I've tried to sway her to our side.... :) I own a PSP but after watching your vlog about DS......well........I guess I will have to get one.... Love to watch the two of you each week and to see women as excited about gaming as I am. See you next week!
You're not prying ;op
Hey Kristen,
We didn't think you were prying at all, if anything we were flattered someone was interested enough to ask about us and we thought it was very sweet. It doesn't happen often hahahaha so hence our surprise. Hope we gave you enough info, no doubt we'll be letting little stories slip out everytime anyway.
Thanks for the positive comments too!
xx
:)
Fun blog! I used to game a lot about a decade ago and recently have been thinking about getting a new system. It's kinda hard to get started when you're so out of the loop so it's great to watch this vlog and get a feel of what's out there.
It would be great if you added some visuals of the games as you're walking through them.
Visuals
Hi Livia,
Thanks for the commets. Last week we had some tech issues so couldn't add the visuals in. We normally try to put in at least a photo... however!.. we've upgraded to Final Cut Express on the mac and are trying to get to grips with it so over the next few weeks hopefully we'll be adding in somemoving gaming visuals etc!
xx
Shout out to all the viewers!
Hey,
This is a general shout out to all the people who left comments! Thank you again for your lovely words of encouragement and support about the vlog.
If we've missed out answering any questions then just let me know!
A few of you asked how we find the time to play all these games every week. Well you know what it's difficult actually. We both spend a lot of time writing, working and hanging out doing other things so I actually have no idea how we fit it all in, but we do!
Also, we won't have the viewer feedback this week in the vlog as it's our Oscars Special, hence why there's so many replies in here this week.
Thanks again guys and enjoy the next vlog on Tuesday!

PS3
Where have you two been all of my gaming life? =) You are both very informative and laugh-out-loud. Now, my apologies if it's been commented on already. Do you have more favorites or advice on the PS3 games? (I am toying with Burnout Paradise.) Thanks ladies!
