Mmmm diner food.  There's so many great ones in the NY/NJ area.  I have to think while all diner food is good, my fave remains a nice big breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and toast that they butter for you.  YUMMO!!!

Loved the Potter/Fitzwilliam sketch(Fitzwilliam is my fave character).  I was howling!  Julie...great Hagrid.  Johnny made a wonderful Snape too.  Funny that Rachel was in the audience, she played Potter on SNL too.

So that leads to my third question, 3) Kate, could you possibly be frequenting bars that cater to only blind and/or deaf women?  If so, that might be contributing to your dry spell.... I don't know, just a thought.  

4) Found out Julie was commitment ceremony-ed !  All the femmes in our San Francisco monthly 'we love Julie Goldman' group were so distraught that we even stopped sewing our big quilt with your face on it, made out of random pieces of dyke wear donated by all the flopped futch-wear companies.  Sigh.. at least my tattoo is permanent...  In a consolatory spirit, we are thinking of making a pilgrimage to NYC to give your partner a hand-knitted "Congrats! Ya bagged 'er!" doily/trophy just to show there are no hard feelings.

5) p.s.. In case you are wondering, I am actually sane and have a lovely soft butch of my own.  We both think you're brilliant and rock like a hurricane, so keep up with the fabulous funny!

I really liked Kate's idea of stopping time ("and you could... do it...."). I want to be able to stop time, do cool stuff while it's stopped, and undo dumb things I've done in the past. I would also like foolproof gaydar......

I love the whole tone of these vlogs! They feel all forbidden and illicit! One week you're in an echoing, underground situation. The next week, huddled together in a diner. Sort of like you're on the run from the law, bringing us your vlog come hell or highwater. It makes me sit up and take notice! Everything takes on an air of urgency and importance. Diner food, you say?! WHAT ABOUT DINER FOOD??! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO YOU LIKE EGGS OR A GOOD BLT, LIGHT MAYO WITH A SCHMEAR OF MUSTARD, MAYBE?!

On a completely different note, why does everybody and their Mother want their super power to be flight? What's so great about it? Birds can fly and their lives don't seem so super special to me. Besides the fact that their able to shit on the land bound, their lives seem pretty humdrum. Being able to shit on whoever you wanted would be good, though. People would think twice about pissing you off, that's for sure. In fact, I bet you could get people to do just about anything to avoid being shit on.

I've made up my mind; I want my superpower to be the ability to take large dumps on the heads of others without any consequence. I'd be the most powerful human on earth! I'm not sure what my costume would look like but I'm pretty sure it would involve a butt flap.

i love a good diner breakfast...eggs over easy, crispy shredded hashbrowns, and pancakes with lots of butter! of course you can't go wrong with a yummy cheeseburger, fries with mayonnaise, and a butterscotch shake...(there's a really great place in minneapolis that i was addicted to when i lived there).

Ladies, you seem like fun to hang out with. It reminds me of how depressing I make my life when I isolate.. Actually, I love indulging in depression sometimes, just like diner food. My favorite diner foods... eggs benedict and french fries.

diners are the bomb...the best are the 24-hour kind (yes i know of ones that aren't) that serve breakfast 24/7....because i love the creamed chipped beef on rye toast with a side of scrapple (though i think the scrapple is a strictly southeastern PA kind of thing...)

hmmm...superpowers....so can i wish for kate's superpower? great idea stopping time...though teleportation would come in handy too...especially if i stop time and have to get somewhere...with my luck all the cars would be stopped in such a way that i couldn't get around them so teleportation would be a must-have...

I think I'd have to go with Julie's "Human Time Machine" power. You can do a lot with that. A flying time machine of course.

When I go to diners my cheap friends and I usually just split sampler plates of horrible fried food such as fried chicken, onion rings, and mozerella sticks. I only eat those cheesy sticks of goodness when that happens. When I'm rolling in the dough and want to impress the ladies with how many calories I can down in one sitting...I order chicken parmesiano. I know for a fact that is not how you spell it, but it's chicken with pasta covered in cheese. TERRIBLE for my guts, but heavenly in my mouth.

Random, but I have the same dilema as a previous poster about finding two men together sexy. Same concern...am I more gay for finding gay relationships/sex hot, or less gay because it's two guys? I think I just see the most chemistry with gay couples and they seem more in tune with eachother...so they're more sexy to me. It's not like I want to join them in bed or anything. I leave it up to you two to decide. Unless I disagree with you.

I've been waiting for this vlog since Tuesday! I don't even bother to read all the blog posts anymore, I just refresh the page, see that your vlog hasn't been posted yet, and get mad. I think I may need help.

My favorite diner food used to be anything with bacon. But I don't eat bacon anymore, and haven't found a new favorite. Also - I could KILL for good fries, but no diners here seem to serve fries with veggie food, and I refuse to pay extra for fries when my friend gets hers with her meal.

i have thought long and hard about potential super powers... and i would like to have the power of making people illiterate/literate. couldn't that screw some villian over if all of a sudden they couldnt read... it is CRAZY!!! plus i could travel around the world and give the love of reading to those who couldn't... with that power i would totally be on Opera, and conquer the world... and possibly gain the power to spell better too... cuz i cant spell.

Now see this episode reminded me of how sad it is that I can no longer have those favorite diner foods of mine... I used to love going to diners and having big stacks of pancakes back when I was a vegetarian. But now I am one of those pesky vegans... and damn proud of it, of course.

So I guess my special power would be the ability to make any meal vegan. So I could order in the breakfast special, snap my fingers and it would all be made out of soy and stuff and no animals would be killed or abused for my taste bud's enjoyment. :)

I love diner food even though it doesn't fit in my healthy eating lifestyle. But I figure you only live once, what the hell! I love eating breakfast food any time of the day. I usually order 2 eggs over hard, home fries (or french fries) and wheat toast with no butter (sometimes onion bagel with cream cheese). I also love grilled cheese with french fries (it's great for breakfast).

So I really had to think hard about this superpower question. Can I have two powers pretty please? I would really like to be able to travel through time and change things for the good. Like could you image if you were able to stop Hitler before he started his path of madness? Or you are able to go in the future and get the cure for cancer? I also would like to have the power to heal people emotionally and physically. I think that would make this world a better place to live.

Can't wait for the next vlog.
