Oh Kate, I am saddened by this news. I have watched everyone of your vlogs and look forward to them. I will miss you, but I also want to wish you luck with everything you are doing in the future. Thanks for being so incredibly awesome and funny.

Kate, you will be missed. Thanks for your humorous insights into this crazy mess called democracy in an election year.  I can't wait to get my hands on your new CD. I sure hope you have plans to come back and vlog here in the future. Happy trails to you, until we meet again.  Now I am off to watch the Rutgers game.  Whoo Hoo, Stanford has made it to the final 4.

I just wanted to say that I've enjoyed watching all of your vlogs.  Also, and I live in PA and have been pretty active in the Hillary campaign lately.

That is what I was hoping you were going to say at the end.  Very sad to see you go.  I always looked forward to Tuesday to see your vlog.  Good luck with your book.  Can't wait to read it. 

Here's a vote that I hope will count (unlike MI and FL currently)- More Kate Clinton vlogs, blogs or whatever else she can, and would like to, contribute here. Her wit, wisdom and insight provide hope, humor, inspiration and stress relief to many, including this viewer. Few other performers even come close to matching her beauty, warmth and brilliance. Many of us don't just want her back here. We NEED her, especially during this arduous election period. For goddesses sake, Sarah and powers that be. Bring Kate back pronto!!! In the meantime, I will indeed continue to head over to kateclinton.com, but the more Kate Clinton in books, the net, on TV, radio... the better.

I am saddened to see you go! Your vlog has become one of my favorite things not just on the afterellen site but in general, I really looked forward to it.

I never commented before because whenever I start talking politics I never stop and even though I am from southern Europe, I do have much to say about American politics. (*stopping myself*)

Here is the gist of it: I love your opinions and your politics; I love your humor, you are funny as hell and I can’t believe I didn’t know about you before I saw you here on AE (thank you, Sarah); I understand why you support Hilary, although I have been an Obama enthusiastic (I guess it must be because he can read and he can talk and he actually seems to have ideas in his brain and he doesn’t seem as interested in turning the world into a 1984 permanent war situation and one has to concede that is a BIG change from Bush lol); I used to really like Hilary before she voted for the war (sorry, that was hard blow back then and I felt it then, I’m not saying this just because so many people bring this up now) and before it seemed like she was positioning herself at the center in order to gain momentum instead of standing by her democratic beliefs (why are Democrats so afraid to be Democrats? Is it because they really are just kind of republicans?); I do believe Hilary is being the victim of the most unspeakable sexism a bit like Segolene Royal was in France when she run against Sarkozy; I don’t believe a woman would be a better president only because she is a woman; I believe the world needs to have more women leaders urgently and that great forces gather to fight a woman who wants to be President.

Whatever happens, I just hope the US really are able to make significant policy changes, not only internally but also in foreign policy – war feeds on itself, war feeds the people that benefit from it, war has a male ethos, war tends to expand, war benefits only the hierarchies, war is a big fat lie, I’m sick of all this negative energy it brings. I am even sick of the total meltdown of the Dollar, it actually affected my pocket directly because I am a freelancer and I have a lot of American clients who pay me in Dollars. I better stop here!

The main thing is: seeing and hearing you helps me believe in America.

I totally love your idea of sending the bad spirits away from the White House!!

And even though I know you are attached, am I allowed to say I think you are hot?

I hope Kate will return once the election is underway with one Dem candidate (whoever it is) facing off against McCain. I can't imagine going through the fall campaign without hearing from the Pride of Providence ;)

Kate, I watched the game. I cheered for Rutgers (much to the chagrin of my mother, the UConn fan) and I was SO ticked off when Rutgers lost.

By the way, after seeing John McCain tell "jokes" on Letterman, I like him even LESS.

As for Lieberman as a McCain running mate... I'm a native Connecticutter and I HATE Lieberman. Seriously, the man has no shame and he should be smacked upside his idiot head.

I feel better. Thank you Kate. Your vlog is truly cathartic for me. I will miss it. I hope you'll do more.

Well I guess it begins with last week when scribegrrrl left, but this week seems a lot worse! No more L Word recaps, and where getting no where is gone for a while. Everybody is off at Dinah so there aren't a lot of blogs. And now this is Kate's last vlog for the season?! Man its just hit after hit.... No wonder I feel so depressed... lol

There's nothing more funnier than political satire except for lesbian political satire by one of the queens of comedy. Kate you do it so well. Man, I'm gonna miss that. I wish I would be there to help get the "bad" spirits out. I can bring my Goddess holy water. Much luck to you Kate!

Once again, Provincetown is the BEST place to be, especially now that Kate is back in town! I, too, am very saddened to hear she will be on hiatus, but I know she's very busy keeping the babes in PTown happy with her politically astute, killer humor.

As always, thanks for the laughs, Kate, and for lending your brand power to AfterEllen. We'll be seeing you in PTown from time to time this summer-- consider this fair warning!!!

I will miss you here a bunch Kate. But you put out a fantastic newsletter and have a great site as well so I will keep up there. I had no idea though that this was not an ongoing vlog. Did we know in advance that it would be ending for a season or hiatus? If so I missed it.
