The Mario Kart driving was too cute!  GTA IV was just released today in the US, so I can't wait for the review next week. 

Have either of you heard about a game called The Agency for PS3?  I read something about it a few months ago.  Suppose to be a MMORPG, if I remember right.

And I'm glad you like the name, I always hate coming up with them for forums, so instead of coming up with something witty and charming I just... well, you get it.

Also, a suggestion for a topic more than a theme, but how about games that started or popularised certain game trends and/or conventions? Kind of like groundbreaking or particularly iconic games?

So Wolfenstein 3D would probably be credited with popularising first person shooters. Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 made stealth much more popular against shooting your way through levels, and Carmageddon is a game that I'm not sure many people know about or remember, but I think it was pretty significant in influencing and even paving the way for the GTA series (I was ten when Carmageddon came out by the way, and no, my parents definately didn't know I was playing it).

I'm not sure anyone else would actually find that interesting though. Could just be me. I may just be that much nerdier than other, normal people. Though I'm sure you could make it much more entertaining then my descriptions.

And finally, if I may ask, was it my imagination or did your outfits appear to... match?

I loved the cribs special, a truly crib worthy house yous have there and a very cool DvD collection but where was your Kath and Kim boxset collection? They are Australias greatest export appart from yourselves of course. lol

When will you be adding the Wii fit to your gym equipment? mine arrived last Friday but since I am back home in Dublin for the week I haven't been able to use it yet.

About mario kart i couldn't agree more you have to use the wheel. It's just the way it has to be played, and the big plus for me is that I always did that with my gamepad you know going to the left or the right when you were driving or fighting and now I can do that AND not feel stupid!! yeah!!
And please stop teasing: I can't wait to here your GTA thoughts and the program for the upcoming months seems awesome...

I am a Mario Kart fanatic, and I was very excited to see you review it! I also had some worried about the plastic wheel- the way my friends and I play it might go flying through my tv. It's a fun game and a good way to hang out with some friends for a few hours.

I once met the actor who plays taggart (not the one who passed away, the other guy) at a ceilidh. Possibly the most bizarre evening of my life.

Anyways thankyou for another amzing vlog! I played the origional Ratchet and Clank obsessively for about 3 months way back when, so its nice to know the franchise is still producing decent games (occasionaly). I'm really excited about Mario Kart on the Wii, though in my opinion the Mario's have never surpassed the pure genius that was Crash Team Racing on the Playstation 1. I may also explode with excitement at the cribs -style tour of the lesbian gamers house, and the almighty battlestar car!

I also have a question: why do games have different release dates in different regions, and what determines the order of release?

To say that I love your vlog. Obviously, cause none of the other ones have gotten me to delurk in 2+years. :) I don't do the console gaming thing, strictly PC gamer. :P Looking forward to getting better Mass Effect in June so much! Have waited a while for that one, but it was faster than the port to PC that Jade Empire got. (that took a couple of years)

Random game I've been playing this week: Viva Pinata. Anyone else play this weirda$$ game? It's out for Xbox as well... it's basically a tycoon type game where you raise pinatas. It is so messed up.

Also looking forward to finally playing Age of Conan in a couple weeks. And eagerly awaiting Spore to come eat my life.

My request (wow long post!) anyone know of a Space Sim with graphics as good as or better than Eve Online? I like MMOs but it would be great to have a single player game like that as well. I just think it's ridiculous that a game that came out a few years ago still has (imo) the best graphics of any space game.

P.s.s. awesome telescope! just dont use it during the day and make your neighbor's come beat you up like in the Sims hehe.

so i went out first thing tuesday morning and got my copy. only stopped playing it to go to work and perform basic human functions. Also picked up a modem so i could log onto live but have'nt had luck seting it up yet. The game is great though graphics, voice acting, the feel of it it awesome. Another great vlog, have fun in your pimped out crib.

So, I was meaning to say this in my last post and forgot. Theme wise, I was doing some late night thinking for a paper I had to turn in and a couple themes just popped into my head, A turn Based strategy game (Fire Emblem, Civilization, ect.) also a party games theme(mario party, super smash brotheres, ect.) and the last one was just an online theme, like the best games to play with people across the world online.

I would also like to add that you guys are very very bad influences on my school work! Tsk tsk, corrupting poor innocent school children, now that's not a very nice thing to do.

Okay, sorry, had to go on a random babbly, or maybe it's just another excuse to postpone the evilness that is writing papers.

I'm glad you loved Mario Kart as much as I do. The game has even become a thing we do before we go out to party. Kind of like the new Singstar. I always pick Toad and compete online with fellow geeks from all over the world. The great thing is that they're so many new things to unlock in the game. And whenever the game starts everyone joins in on the "Mario Karti Wiiiiii".

 Now that Wii Fit has been released I was thinking of buying that but that would take my nerdiness (a word?) to a whole new level. I would love for you to review and post videos of you girls trying it ;)

Also I went home to my parents and picked up the old X files game. I think I'm gonna try that one out this week.

I succumbed to the dark side on Saturday and bought a Wii. This was primarily for Mario Kart, hence the multi store, multi suburb search for a second wheel and remote that followed. Once all items were obtained, my g/f & I parked on the couch and drove little Mario & friends around with little plastic wheels for the remainder of the weekend. The whole time we spent playing MK, my PS3 sat on her shelf sulking at the young whippersnapper that had invaded her Sony only space.

I will now have to sneak out and buy Tomb Raider for the Wii and bring it quietly into the house wrapped in a non-descript brown paper bag – as to avoid upsetting my Playstation family any further.

Loved the LG Cribs episode, btw!! So creative, funny and right on the money. The only thing missing was the bottle of Cristal in the fridge, but I'm sure that was there somewhere. Though if I lived in your part of the world, I'd stock up with yummy Margaret River wines over the over-priced, over-hyped Cristal anyway.
