Brunch With Bridget: "Brunch with Butches"

i've been up 5 hours my usual bed time [its now 4:04 AM] cuz i wanted to wait for the new vlog!!! But now i dont know if i have enough energy to watch this since my eyes is already closing as i'm writing this. i shall try though.

i'm excited that Dara is the guest this week!!!! i was wondering when she's going to guest since karman and jill has guest before!!! I Love watching BWB!

oh yeah, this is my first post!!! YAY

p.s i'm sick and been coughing all day, but i just realized, i havent coughed ever since i saw that the new vlog is up! This is a great medicine!

Dara is on BWB! I loved it. I wish i could light a match the way you did Dara but if i try it i may hurt myself. I'm always hitting myself with or on something, like Bridget. :)

thanks for the laughs one more time ... and i do hope Dara managed to fix your sink ... if the plunger doesnt work... well... then you have to resort to dismantling the underside/pipes to take out the huge hairball thats in there lol ... i know this not because am the butchest, but because i did grow up in Eastern europe, where back in the day you fixed it all yourself.

hope your finger is getting better ...wait, i have a Butch sounding story for that as well: i cut off the whole tip of my left middle finger with 10" radial arm saw in 2002 (the machine was defective), but no worries, the wonders of surgeons - they attached it back on, so i dont have a stubby! i was operating that type of machinary in architecture school for a project, not because i love cutting wood... and i avoid power tools ever since!

hmmm, those two stories clasify me as butch, though i tried to 'deny' the allegations ... i think i like to walk the fine line between butch and femme - wht the term for that?

oh and look, i like to talk a lot - guess thats the unbutchy me LoL

oh, and i love a discussion about what in means to be butch and femme in SF vs LA...

I would classify myself as a butch but dara has taught me to be a better butch. I do happen to know a lot of random trivia particularly about movies. I play sports like softball, basketball, volleyball and cornhole. (Cornhole is amazing by the way.) And I fix everything in my house. My mom jokes that she only had me so that I could fix stuff and my brother can't fix anything.

Bridget be careful and don't hurt yourself. I couldn't stand not watching your show every sunday.

I am also color blind. it's only partial to certain colors. my dad is color blind and my grandpa was color blind which made my mom a carrier for color blindness. its weird but true.

P.S. Bridget send me a message on myspace and I can come fix your sink.

ok, first of all i've been meaning to say that just the fact that you went to NYU(a school i wish i could've gone to for Theatre) makes you a BILLION times cooler that you already are! Loved the show def. worth staying up for! Hope your finger gets better it looked pretty gross! lol

Anyway, i don't know what i would be classified..

one of my friends said that i was androgynous, but i'm not sure what she meant by that...lol

i love broadway shows and classic disney movies

i'm small but people say i'm feisty

i'm pretty good with tools because of this summer church program where we build houses and i've had to work in the scene shop

i usually wear "cute" clothes

and as far as foot wear goes, the girliest i get are flats and a small heel

...so yeah, if you have any suggestions as to what i might be classified tell me, because i have no clue!

ok so all I can think off is why can't you just take the u bend off on try and unclog the pipes that way, you had a wrench.......... and you must have a toilet brush you could have shoved that up the pipe when it was off.

well you throw away the brush afterward and it should be washed in bleach before you do it, but it is very effective........ you have to use what you have. Plus if the clogging is a build up of hair 9for example) a coat hanger would have very little effect. It depends what the blockage is and where it is.

The u bend is the best place to take off and have a look though........

This was an awesome episode! Dara in MacGyver mode was fun to watch. And I can't believe Bridget lets her guests repair her sink. But on a second thought, this might be better than Bridget actually tries herself because then she might need another ride to urgent care :-)

 I can't finish watching the vlog! Damn it, I have to work! I'll watch the vlog later, but I bet it's great, 'cause it always is.

i really thought that dara was about to win the pillow fight, then bridget just flips her right in the air lol.

first of all, I'm glad to see I fit every one of Dara's criteria except the match thing. And I'm not going to try that, because my mommy told me not to play with fire.

Second of all, dude, Bridget, you seem to have had a phenomenal career path (despite the fact that you don't seem all that fond of it.) Scenic design? Commercials for Cartoon Network? Assisting on a feature? All things I totally would do when I grow up.

Third of all, I like Baby B's new outfit. It's more in character, with the voice and whatnot.

Bridget telling Dara that they told her to take the stitches out her self was funny. On the butch subject i wouldnt class my self as butch, but there is one thing you should know about me i don't do girly, ok once and that was it and that was only because my friends dressed me up and practically dragged me to a disco that i didnt even want to go to in the first place. I never go anywhere without my hat, its gotta be on my head otherwise i feel like i have lost something.

I always seem to be hurting myself and it always seems to be when im at school or at home, lets see whats happened: i got chased by a dog on my way home from school and for  some unknown reason i deceided i would jump my front fence and my dad thought i broke my arm so that warranted a trip to the hospital, but the worst thing i have done is my knee it was during PE at school and we were playing Aus tag and i had the ball, but passed it and one of the girls not sure which one it was booted me in the knee and that killed i couldnt even walk, but i was determined to stay after school and run the active after school thingy that i ran, but one of the other trainers forced me to go home and my dad was not pleased that the school had not taken me to the hospital. my knee is now screwed because i got sick of the crutches after a day and thought that i would  suck it up and walk when i wasnt supposed to, every now and than my knee deceides that it will torture me and play up and give me hell.

i only have myself to blame for that, i also learnt that if your defending one of the girls at your school because one of the boys was being a dumbass and a jerk, dont try running on cement and  jumping down a few stairs hoping that you will land on your feet because that doesnt work as i learnt after sliding along the ground and i now have a scar on my knee that i think is pretty cool and gross at the same time.

This episode was great who doesnt love Bridget or Dara for that matter?

I don´t know if I´m either of those. I think I am some where in the middle :) My mom thinks that I´m butch though, just because I can fix things and I like sports... but I don´t know... :)

I'm pretty handy, I help friends move... But I can't light a match using one hand only. And I'm clumsy at times.

i don't think i'm butch but i can fix things (not my car tho), and my big brother calls me the Queen of Useless Information. on the flip side i don't like sports much (unless i'm playing), i paint my nails and can act kinda girly sometimes. i dunno what to call myself.

  Regarding the sink, Corky shows you exactly how to fix it--take the nut off and using your coat hanger, pull out the clump of crud out that way. Gross but effective.
