Top 10 Lesbian-ish Men

Okay, so this one may not kinda have the exact qualifications, but there's one guy I absolutely adore and that is David Boreanaz. He's just so adorable, and hilariously funny at times.

But yes I do agree with some of the men on the list. I absolutely can not see 10-7, but the others, even I can see those. and Jake on that picture... Eyes! Damn

Totally agree with the Jamie Bamber, John Cusack (High Fidelity and Grosse Pointe Blank are two of my favorite movies) and Justin Timberlake.

Most of these I get.  but Keanu Reeves?  Really?  I have such an aversion to him I think I threw up a little in my mouth.  I love Sandra Bullock, but because of Keanu Reeves I still haven't seen Speed.  I think it goes without saying I haven't seen Lakehouse. (or Lakeside or whatever that movie is called.)

The Ben or Matt debate?  There is no debate.  I still think Matt is dreamy.  Of course Johnny Depp is fantastic.  And I love Brad Pitt.  Lesbians aren't the only ones, I know a lot of straight guys who have man-crushes on him, too.  Including Stephen Colbert. (remember the threatdown when Brad Pitt/Fight Club was the #2 threat to his heterosexuality.  #1 was, of course, bears.)

But where is Ewan McGregor?  When I came out to a good friend of mine from high school, her response was, "But what about Ewan?"  I told her not to worry, his beauty transcends all boundaries of gender and sexuality.

I am so glad you included him.  As a teenager, when I was struggling with the "am I gay; am I not gay" saga one of my mental stumps was Keanu.  I thought "how can I love him in Point Break, Speed, and Parenthood so much and still be gay."  I always justified it with the whole wanting to "be" him, not nec. "with" him; And of course the lovely ladies in each of those flicks.  But that picture confirms it for me, he's just so darn pretty and completely emo.  He is totally one of my straight crushes. 

And because I was a teenager with Angela Chase I'd have to add Jared Leto to this list.  Hmmm.  Maybe Jason Priestly and Luke Perry as well.  OH!  And Ralph Machio.

Very clever.  I never thought about how much some of my exes resemble a few of the guys on this list.  Very interesting.

(1) how dykey their hair is; (2) how soulful their gazes are; (3) how much they look like girls I've dated; and (4) whether I'd mistake them for lesbians in a dark alley

There are definitely some on there that I agree with!  Not so much feeling Keanu, Jamie, Matt, or even JT - but I'm with you on the others :-)

Ever since The Object of My Affection and his turn as Orsino in Twelfth Night, I've had a mad crush on Paul Rudd. I think it's the eyes.

Heh. Great idea for a post. I definitely think it's right that Jake is number 1 (I'm always amazed by the sheer number of lesbians who seem to fancy him). JT doesn't do a lot for me since he shaved off his hair and grew that manky stubble (as well as just becoming a bit skeezy, somehow), but I'm willing to defer to those who like him.

A couple of extra suggestions: Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert? They're not exactly prettyboys, but I think a lot of lesbians do love them... if only for the constant queerness on both their shows. Colbert has a really interesting, mixed feminine/masculine vibe, that I think makes him appealing to queers of both genders.

I'm sure I'm going to think of a million guys who should be on this list... there definitely is a type of guy who somehow screams 'lesbian'... but in the meantime, yes to Ralph Macchio. How about James Dean? Rob Lowe when he was in 'The Outsiders'? In fact, the whole male cast of 'The Outsiders' looks like a bunch of wannabe dykes. Check here for a picture:

And Benjamin McKenzie as Ryan in 'The O.C.'? When he's got his wifebeater on and the floppy hair and the soulful eyes, there's always been something about him that screams 'lesbian' to me... hee hee.

I think the phenomenon of gay men worshipping 'fabulous' female divas is well-documented, but the fact of there being a particular type of man that appeals to lesbians hasn't really been recognised.

I vote for Jude Law, and Edward Norton.

And from the list i totally agree with Matt Damon, and Keanu Reeves.

I'll TOTALLY give you Jake, Jude, and Brad, but let's look at someone without traditional hotness: Martin Freeman. Wait! Bare with me. You gotta luv the accent. He was brilliant, funny, and sensitive in the UK "The Office" and he's unassumingly versatile. Grrrrrrrrr.

I agree with Jake, but his sister is my main weakness! Love me some Maggie...

Two words:

Matt Bellamy.

Singer, pianist, guitarist and genius front man of the British band Muse. When I saw them this summer, it was the first time in my life I thought "wow...he's sexy." Good thing is, my girlfriend agrees :D

Overall, your choices of Lesbian-ish Guys just didn't really connect with me. Off course, Orlando and Brad were definitely good choices. Brad Pitt DOES transcend all sexual preferences...

Overall though, there were a lot you could have put in, like:

Paul Bettany-mmm, delicous. He was my first boy-crush. Plus, he's married to Jennifer Connelly, need i say more?

Jared Leto-Somebody said this too. This guy is so girly, that it's kinda hot. He was really good in Lord of War too.

Jonathon Rhys-Meyers-...What a pretty boy. Cute Accent. Cute looks.

Mark Wahlberg- but only when he's not super muscly. He was hot in Boogie Nights, when he acted like he was gay.

But yeah overall, I really don't dig manly guys. Something about all that muscle just turns me off. Never would i ever be attracted to The Rock, Vin Diesel, Mark Wahlberg in Invincable, etc
