NCLR celebrates 30 years of partying -- er, fighting for lesbian rights!
Last Saturday night I joined thousands of lesbians (and their supporters) at Fort Mason in San Francisco for the National Center for Lesbian Rights' 30th anniversary gala. Martina Navratilova received the Voice and Visibility Award, honoring her many years of supporting LGBT rights.

Here she is with Kate Kendall, NCLR's executive director:

Also on hand were Kate Clinton, who emceed the night's program, as well as out former NBA player John Amaechi, who received the Community Vision Award. Here's a fun shot of me with Clinton and Amaechi, having a grand old time:

I mean, if you put together thousands of power lesbians, delicious food and free wine, not mention a salsa band, an aerial trapeze act that was just incredible, the wink-wink burlesque of the Twilight Vixen Revue and Kate Clinton stuffing large bills down her shirt to encourage the ladies to give to a worthy cause, how can you possibly not have a great time? Sometimes my job just rocks.
