Brea Grant moves quickly on "Heroes"

As if Heroes wasn’t already one of the most inspired shows on TV: The producers of the hit series have announced that they’re adding the gorgeous Brea Grant to the cast for next season. Grant, who you may recognize from her guest spots on Friday Night Lights and Cold Case, will play a character named Joy whose super power is "uncanny speed."

Grant's character will first appear stealing paintings from a museum and getting called out by Hiro. It sounds like she’ll be one of those mysterious types, leaving us all to wonder if she is good or evil.

Alongside Ali Larter’s doppelgänger hero and Hayden Panettiere as a bad ass, indestructible cheerleader, Grant ups the cast’s "pretty" factor a few good notches. They'll all return (along with the rest of the Heroes cast) on September 22. Can you wait that long?

    yup, nothing wrong here with adding another hottie...but then again heroes is so good that I don't need to be enticed with sexy ladies to watch it. Can't wait for the season to start!

    I can't wait that long! I love Heroes and was gutted when season 2 was cut in half. I LOVE Kristen Bell, and I think she plays crazy brilliantly. Currently getting my Kristen fix from Veronica Mars re-runs. I wish I was that persnickity.

    Meh, I tried to watch the show in the beginning and it did have potential but I grew impatient with how slowly it moved the story forward. Every episode inched along like a snail. I lost interest.  

    Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

    I'll have to agree with Tess. It stroke me on the TV guide cover ! Blonde invasion ! How about a brunette for a change. Or a redhead for that matter. Gillian Anderson anyone ? OK ok wrong show...

    I'll sacrifice myself to stand all those pretty blonde ladies in a single show. It will be hard, but I'm sure we'll live through it :)

    Maybe they should just have Ali Larter go brunette when she's Jessica. I'd be okay with that.

    But I'm excited. I love Heroes and I hope they don't screw up the character. Heroes has tried nice ideas, but didn't handle it well. Season 3 looks awesome.

    A look at all non-blondes of the show:

    Simone: Shot and killed season one.

    Future Brunette Claire: Head was sliced open by Sylar.

    Candice: Sliced by Sylar.

    Sylar's mother: Killed by Sylar with a pair of scissors and in a room filled with snowglobes.

    I can't think of anymore...

    Anyway, I'm really REALLY excited! I can't wait for more Heroes - it always leaves me wanting more!

    Is "Heroes" really starting back September 15t?  On a commercial on NBC for the show that I saw a few weeks ago, it said that it was coming back the next week, on the 22nd...have they moved it up a week??

    While I loved season one of "Heroes" I thought that season two was HORRIBLE, but I have high hopes for this third season.

    I noticed the blonde thing too....but unlike Tess I am complaining (sort of)...for a show that boasts it's diversity, I'm not seeing much when it comes to the female roles.....

    *sidebar* don't jump all over me, I know there have been a brunette, an African American, and a Hispanic woman, but the blondes are dominating on this show...

     Anyway, I am still looking forward to the 3rd season

    Just when I thought Ali Larter couldn't get any hotter, someone mentions her going brunette and I'm freaking out! Great idea Kim! Though, I'm happy to get my fix of Larter any way I can-blonde, brunette, redhead,whatever. I'll take her however she comes...
