"Women Leaving Men for Other Women" on "The Oprah Winfrey Show"Tyra Banks is not going to be happy about this. Today on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah discusses the topic of "Women Leaving Men for Other Women" and tries to understand the phenomenon of why so many women are "falling hard" for Work Out's Jackie Warner. Jackie Warner and Rebecca Cardon on The Oprah Winfrey Show Sound familiar? Yes, Tyra probably thinks so too. Just a few weeks ago on The Tyra Banks Show, she wrestled with the very similar topic of "Straight Girls With Gay Crushes." In that episode, she followed a lesbian "pick-up artist" specializing in straight women, arranged for the awkward reunion of a lesbian and her straight former flame, and instigated the even more awkward first kiss between a lesbian and her smitten straight co-worker. (Tyra is apparently the self-appointed lesbian Puppet Master!) Tyra also quizzed out trainer Jackie Warner about the vast number of heterosexual women who find her charms irresistible. Warner regaled the studio audience with tales of wanton straight women of leisure leaving dirty messages on her answering machine and hiring her for expensive training sessions in hopes of gaining some added "benefits." So did Tyra really scoop Oprah? In the episode, Oprah interviews women who've turned their previously heterosexual lives upside down after falling in love with other women. Among those she talks to is comedian Carol Leifer, a former writer on Seinfeld and co-executive producer on the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement, and her partner, Lori Wolf. Partners Lori Wolf and Carol Leifer Warner appears on The Oprah Winfrey Show with Work Out co-star and her former paramour Rebecca Cardon, whom Oprah grills about her attraction to Warner. Perhaps Oprah never heard the rumor that the Jackie-Rebecca dalliance was purely a showmance. (On a sidenote, if the showmance rumor is ever proven to be true, do you think Oprah will visit a molten wrath upon Warner and Cardon's heads as she did writer James Frey for the fabrications in his "memoir" A Million Little Pieces? That alone would be worth the price of admission, not to mention the price of enduring three seasons worth of sweat and vodka-soaked drama on Work Out.) If the video preview is any indicator, it looks like Oprah's episode devoted to the subject might be a bit more substantive than Tyra's. And if Oprah's booming voiceover is any indicator, it might be a scarier episode too. "A house in the suburbs... a mom's secret exposed." Is this The Oprah Winfrey Show or Forensic Files? While lesbianism obviously isn't a "trend," treating it as such on daytime television seems to be trendy indeed. Will you watch Oprah today to see how she handles the topic? Not from Tyra
Actually, Oprah is not stealing from Tyra, she's stealing from herself. This new episode of Oprah is a repeat of an episode she did a couple years back about "Gay Wives"--married women who leave their hetero-marriage for another woman. I don't remember what year exactly, but all I remember is that one of the "gay wives" was pretty cute.
"Every time two lesbians kiss, an angel gets its wings." --Roseanne
totally true
I remember that episode as well- I believe it was like 2 years-ish ago. This is not a new topic for Oprah and I'm sure the episode topics happen well in advance so must have just been coincidence.
Check out and upload great lesbian videos on www.tellofilms.com
I think I saw that
2006 Episode of Oprah

wow wow wow!!- What is it
wow wow wow!!- What is it with this kind of shows airing a lot of lesbian stuff?, Do they want more viewers or what? xD.I guess is good to have 'our lives' shown on TV only if its going to be productive though, not little show stints like the one Trya did, and now Oprah? The preview looks good, and I got to admit that Oprah is more indepth say about the topic discussed on her show. Im not a huge O fan but I will check it out and see what happens -if I have the time!-. Ill defintely be coming back for the review!

Let it Rock,Let it roll
yep
is it a trend?
Oprah's getting closer & closer to coming out lol
Man, these shows really know how to boost someone's ego don't they? lol Jackie is going to think she is the complete shit after all of these shows lol But I guess it is true, a lot of girls are crazy about her.
*in your eyes, i see thing i know i cannot touch*
Come out come out....
Bingo littlenikki!
Seriously...
I dont understand why people are acting like this is suddenly a new "trend". It's like they woke up one day and were like "omg, I JUST noticed that women are dating other women!" I mean I am happy that the rest of the world is finding out that we are just normal people who live normal lives and the only differance is that we love some one of the same gender. I know people like my grandma who believe that "gays" have an evil spirit around them and are here to turn everyone their way. (she's having a very tough time dealing with my coming out last month to her.) She watches Oprah and maybe she'll change her mind =/
Good God
Psh
Psh I met Jackie Warner in person over the summer and was very capable of resisting her. In fact it didn't take any resisting at all. Now her on the other hand, it was hard keeping her off of me. I was like come on now Jackie, I know I'm cool, but I only came up here to see you because my friends grandma likes your show.

the name of this show
the name of this show should be "WHY IS JACKIE WARNER: LESBIAN ASSHOLE WHO THINKS SHE'S GODS GIFT TO WOMEN." i mean just how many shows is she going to go on bragging about how many people are attracted to her? that's right, i said people, because straight women aren't some rarified commodity, they're just people. and jackie warner sounds like an ass.
Love it.
I'm on board with the new title. I haven't watched Work Out much, so I guess I'm not entitled to have a strong opinion about Jackie, but I haven't been impressed with what little I have seen of her. She seems super cocky, which is so annoying. I can't stand those lesbians that are so full of themselves and think they can get any woman - straight or gay. It's an accomplishment for them. They're worse than straight guys.

I agree 100%. I mean
I So Agree as well: Jackie=yuck!
I can't stand her and think she's rather unattractive, like really not good looking at all (I'd use other words, but I'm trying not to be too mean, lol), but the worst of all is her being so arrogant as to believe women are falling all over her...seriously? Where? Haven't seen any of those...swooning for portia's lovely face, yes; adoring tina fey's awsomeness, yes; strangling a mountain ox at the sight of Olivia Wilde, hell yeah! but Jackie 'he man look-alike' Warner.....puuuuulleeeeeezzzzz, give me a break. She needs to come down from her cloud of self-deception and buy a mirror while she's at it....
Jackie Warner is so not all that
i never liked jackie
she is definitely an ass. i started watching her show because "hey, it's a lesbian on tv". but got tired of her drama so quickly i dropped it.

I just followed your link to
Best part about the episode...
Their expert on sexual fluidity was named Lucy Diamond. As in the lesbian villain from "D.E.B.S.". I nearly did a spit take when I heard that!
Nobody objects to a woman being a good writer or sculptor or geneticist if at the same time she manages to be a good wife, good mother, good-looking, good-tempered, well-groomed, and unaggressive. - Leslie M. McIntyre
me too!
Oh, Oprah
When the show started with Warner, who I have no problem admitting my crush, I was really annoyed and thought the whole show would be dedicated to women who love Jackie Warner. Thankfully, It wasn't and I didn't have a problem with the show, really? I mean, there were parts that were a little bit awkward-"So, are you gay?" to every woman who'd left their husbands. For the most part,I think she did a good job of letting her guests speak-which Tyra never does.
The O Magazine article was a bit more annoying-Fashionable Lesbianism and there was a sentace about choicing your sextual orientation that was a bit bothersome. I will say, I'm looking forward to seeing Ellen's Face on an O cover in the future!

Not an Oprah Fan
I bet Oprah woke up one day and said to herself, "There's a such thing a lesbians! I saw it on television. And ratings went up. But maybe I should logically...RATINGS! (insert Oprah hallelujah yell here)"
It was her Aha Moment.
I disagree
oprah is fukkin gay! she was probably having a wet dream about gail and decided to do a show about lesbians. lol. she's done a million shows about gay people (most of which were about lesbians specifically). she's probably reading this post right now...
***No, you came out wrong...shut it DOWN!***
I don't mean to nitpick but...
i saw this show as yet another missed opportunity to show that there are actually black gays. i love oprah and all but i find it impossible to believe that she couldnt' find a single black guest. i would really like to get in the conversation and get some visibility for us. prop 8 brought to light that people really don't see black gays. and i think that should change.
