Tricia Helfer does double sci-fi dutyTVGuide.com is reporting that Tricia Helfer, aka cylon Six on Battlestar Galactica, has joined the cast of the new Fox pilot Them. The creator of BSG (and the upcoming reinvented Bionic Woman NBC series), David Eick, is helming Them, which is a good indicator of the high quality product we can probably expect. Them is reportedly about "sleeper cells of extraterrestrial terrorists" and is based on the graphic novel Six. According to filmfodder.com, in Them aliens take human form, but then experience human emotions as "a kind of drug." Director Jonathon. Mostow is quoted as saying, "On a surface level, it's a really cool science fiction thriller. But underneath, it's a very provocative show that's really going to explore what it means to be human, to be a person." Shallow side note: TVGuide.com is also reporting that BSG's peroxide blonde will be a brunette on Them. As far as I'm concerned, the only way this show could get any better is if they announce that Katee Sackhoff (aka Starbuck on BSG) is also joining the cast. As Helfer's on-screen lover. Holy frack! That gave me chills and now
This news just made me day
Tricia Helfer!!! As long as we don't lose her to BSG with Them, I'm going to be one happy camper.
Btw, you couldn't have chosen a better scene to introduce people to Tricia's work. That is one of the top 10 most powerful scenes in the entire run of the series.
"The more I'm afraid of something, the more I know I have to do it." JL
Other Stars
According to TV Guide.com James D'Arcy, Rachel Nichols, Ben Feldman and Reg Rogers are all set to star also.
Rachel Nichols and Tricia in the same show..., gonna have to remember this one....
damn..
Katee Sackhoff
I don't know if you guys know this already or not, but Katee Sackhoff has been cast in The Bionic Woman! She hinted at it in this interview (mostly about Starbuck) from about two weeks ago:

She then confirmed it for them a few days later (comment #48): "The Bionic Woman. I'm playing Sara. She's also a bionic but the nemesis. More fun anyway."
So excited!
