Step aside "Showgirls," "I Know Who Killed Me" is taking over your pole

The trailer for Lindsay Lohan's new movie, I Know Who Killed Me, is out, and it's a spectacle to behold. If you like that sort of thing, which I do. In the film, Lindsay plays a college student. And a stripper. And the survivor of an attack by a serial killer. Yeah, it's complicated.

The film looks like a combo of Silence of the Lambs + Dancing at the Blue Iguana + Sybil. What does that add up to? Probably a cinematic train wreck of epic proportions.

Check it out:

Some questions raised by the trailer: Does wearing glasses really make you look smarter? Why is Lindsay more convincing as "Dakota" than "Aubrey?" What kind of name is "Aubrey" anyway? And what the hell is Julia Ormond doing in this crappy movie?

As a Lindsay fan, I think what I'm most looking forward to are all of the TV interviews she'll be doing to promote the movie. I can't wait to hear her tell Dave, Jay and Conan all about the psychological depths she plumbed in order to connect with her character, and how hard she worked to learn those impressive stripper moves. Who knows, maybe she'll even give Ellen a lap dance!

Back in December, one of Lohan's private emails to friends was leaked to a newspaper (not unlike her Myspace lesbian love letters --the girl really needs to choose better passwords!) and she told them of her training, "So . . . 3 hours of pole dancing and bruised. everywhere . . . I mean we're talkin' like, UPPER AND INNER THIGH ACTION-bruised . . . like a walking black-and-blue mark. I mean really though, really, I didn't know it was actually possible to have bruises in such areas of the body."

It really takes the concept of suffering for one's art to a whole new level.

I Know Who Killed Me opens July 27.

No Clue

Heh, my sister called me this afternoon to ask me if I'd seen the trailer yet for this movie. Once I said 'No', we started bad mouthing other people in the family so I have no idea what she thought of this movie based on the trailer. BTW, I still haven't watched the trailer because I don't want to taint my nonopinion.

hehe!

Yep, sister gossip can take you from a deep conversation about the migrating patterns of gray whales to “oh and did I mention how Mary always has a wedgie in those tight black pants… I hate that! You?”  I can relate Jen from P.
Come on, you know you want to watch it.  Go ahead, we won't tell.

I Have Seen It!

Ok, I watched it. It looks rentable and will be duly added to the netflix queue of ten thousand at some point;) I also realized when it started playing that I have actually seen it before. Bad on me for not remembering. Oooooh, and our family trash banter usually goes something like this: 'Tara (my niece) is exactly like Stewie (Family Guy)' followed by me quatifying this ascertion by Jessica, my sister, with how yes, Tara does want to destroy her because she, Tara, harbors that desperate child-parent love that can only be resolved in death. Preferrably murder. Then we went really far afield mixing metaphors using bad German accents. All in all it was fun!

ew!

that skank.  i even disliked her way back when she was in the re-make of the parent-trap.  her drama, her over-exposure, and all this druggie stuff of hers just compound all the feelings of disgust i have for her and make me roll my eyes and go "what-ev."

moving on.

I may be the only one....

I may be the only one that thinks this... but that girl can act. I had never seen her in a thing and always wondered why she was famous and just figured she was like Paris Hilton and was famous for being famous. Then I went to see "Georgia Rule" with Jane Fonda, Felicity Huffman and Lohan. Huffman is incredible and Lindsay was right there with her. It was a tough movie to watch because of the subject matter, but the performances just kept your attention. It was extremely well acted and amazing. Don't know much about her personal life, so you could be right on the money for all I know.

Cliche

i totally agree with you skootch, sadly like so many talented people, fame gets in the way and there lifestlye ends up over-shadowing there work. Especially people like lyndsey who were child stars, or found fame at an early age. It has turned into one big cliche!

WHY?

I dont understand why alot of people judge and dislike linsay lohan,, i just dont!

and then i read all these negative comments about her and i'm still confused,, i cant say i'm a fan but i think lindsay its allright,, in fact she's beginning to intrigue me.

I just think that nobody is perfect and everybody has their shit and their own personal history so that gives nobody the right to judge, "who ever is free of sin can throw the first rock"..

I just think that instead of judging ,, people should support,, i been hearing so much about lindsey's weakness with substances and what she is going through ,, but ,, nobody really knows what exactly is going on with her life and her pain.. just my opinion,, i truly hope that lindsay overcomes those addictions and gets back on her feet, she deserves it just like everybody does and that she continues with her career,, cause i really think she is beautiful.

Can I prod my eyes out now?

I mean, really...what self-respecting lesbian will applaud this effort? Lindsay "Rehab Revolving Door" Lohan is up there as one of the most over oooh'd and ahh'd celebs nowadays. How can people follow this punta? (Spanish word for Biotch) and take her seriously??) I have no respect for someone who can annihilate a Stevie Nicks song ("Edge of Seventeen") She in my opinion has no business in Hollywood, or in some cases HOE-llywood. . They deserve to be singing Karaoke at the local sports bar with the other off-key clientele. She can't act, nor can she sing. She doesn't deserve the press she gets. There are other more impressive people in Hollywood, more positive role models, so let's pick one! Anyone but Lindsay, Britney and Paris.

I so

agree.  I had the extreme displeasure of hearing her sing once, this will never ever happen again.  I watch Ellen and had no clue she was on until she was,,, well on.  I sat here unable to move or pick my jaw up off the floor.  I thought clearly there is something wrong with my ears, no one sings that bad.  Now, maybe she was ill, but lord it was awful.  I still cringe at the memory.
