Kissing to be clever (aka "Liv Tyler's Lesbian Regret")CelebritySpotlight.co.uk recently ran a hilarious quote by Liv Tyler about playing a lesbian (the original source was her interview with Allure Magazine). Actually, the hilarious part was the headline, "Liv Tyler's Lesbian Regret." There is so much you can do with the concept of "lesbian regret," isn't there?
Anyway, Tyler bemoaned the tameness of the kiss scene she did with Kate Hudson a few years ago in Dr. T and the Women. She said, "Kate plays a woman who is about to get married and she's completely in love with me. We were always so shy about the kissing but in retrospect we were like, 'We so should have just totally made out and tongued each other'. But we never did, we were just too scared to do it." Hypocritical is what
It seems like it's ok to do "gay" stuff if you aren't actually homosexual, or something like that. t.A.T.u comes to mind. I have a friend who knows a fair amount about Russian media, and you've always got to have a ploy to get noticed, like this other band that said they were a brother and sister in love, but they weren't actually related, and might not have even been in a relationship. Besides, the girls in the add were drunk. I'm sure they "didn't know what they were doing."

I'm curios about Russian tolerance too. I can hardly take the intolerance in America, I don't know how I could handle it elsewhere. Maybe Russia's so big they didn't notice, lol...
But omg, I love Liv! That kiiinda makes me giddy! Lol at "lesbian regret." Maybe she'll try to find someone to help her out with that! ;)

Sadly that often seems to be the case. Guys seem to like the idea of two women in love, but they don't like the obvious conclusion -that if I'm with her, I'm not interested in being with you. Then the whole "you just need to try a real man" BS starts. Honestly, get over yourselves already. It's unbelievably condescending and unattractive in equal measure. There are times you just want to turn to one of your straight friends and say "You know you could do a lot better!" (not that I would, cause there really is such a thing as too much honesty)
Now as for the Russian beer ad, it seems that in the new capitalist Russia gay people holding a parade is verboten, but using gay people to sell products is just smart marketing. This was the country that gave us t.A.T.u. after all.

I got a casting call for that movie at the same time as for Sandra Bullock's miss congeniality. Sandra called me herself((friend of a friend of a friend)), So naturally I decided to skipped Dr.T for Miss Congeniality which would hade been great. But I....blew it off for a job at GNC $7+ an hour.
What could hade been right?......... Oh yeah speaking of what could hade been, my lesbian regret came at birth. ;)

Liv. I love Liv. Ever since the Aerosmith vids with Alicia she has been in my heart.
That kiss was sweet and sincere. The characters were in an unsure place so the kiss was totally befitting the moment. *spoiler* Now the kiss at the end of the movie when she chose her maybe could have been a deeper kiss but they were in front of a crowd of people.
The kiss in Amal was great. I love some of the kissing compilations on YT.

Now see this is why I love AE so much. If it wasn't for this site I would be completely clueless to the existence of such movies. That scene from Once and Again was so sweet.
But that ad, oh my goodness! I think I saw one of the ladies slip some tongue in. :) Hot but don't see the connection between two women making out and beer. What really bothers me is the growing use of girl/girl action to sell or promote just about anything. Yeah, gay, lesbian, bi and transgender imagery is acceptable as long as it's a form of entertainment.
Anyway, nice clips though.
Russian Beer Ad
It maybe Russian beer but i bet it wasn't shown in Russia, but it definitely was shown in the UK. I saw this ad and watched it to the end cos i loved the music, but when the two women kissed it made it even better. I bet you the beer is lovely too !
