Checking In

Hi ladies.  :)

Damn, you guys have a really sweet kitchen.  As I love to cook, I am totally jealous.  I also don't have a nice chef's uniform.  :(

Velvet Assassin -- It's really not that bad.  I was excited when I heard about it so I pre-ordered it.  I don't regret that, but then again it didn't cost over $100 for me.  I haven't finished it yet, but I'm near the end.  The complaints I've read are basically from first person shooter fans who don't like 'dying after being shot once'.  That's a bit of an exaggeration from them, but it's not too far off.  It's more challenging and I personally enjoy 'Thief-like' titles.  It's not as good as the Thief titles, but I do enjoy it.  Graphics are not the best, but I think the music and audio were very good.

Since being laid off, and being quite lazy, I have had time to play a lot of games.  It seems I am one of the few who didn't enjoy Resident Evil 5.  I was really disappointed actually.

Rise of the Argonauts stunk a big one.  I'm glad I rented it rather then buying.  There weren't even any harpies.  :(

I caught up on some older games.  Bladestorm -- Fun.  Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway -- Fun.  Afro Samurai -- Meh.  Wolverine -- Eh, okay.  Most titles based on movies aren't good so I wasn't expecting much anyway.

I'm still playing Fallout 3.  Just need 3 more achievements for all of them.  So, yeah, I've played all of the downloadable content and it's all been really worth it.

For PC, I found the game Mount & Blade -- I really recommend it.  Get the trial online and you can go up to level 8 before buying.  And if you do buy it's cheap.

So yeah, lots of gaming.  None still compares to Fallout 3.

Hey ladies, fab vlog. Its

Hey ladies, fab vlog. Its been a while since I managed to catch your show, but I'm glad I saw this one.

I've been waiting for a Salvation review, the long loading times suck, thats one thing that miffed me about MGS4 but thas neither here nor there. Angela your so right, playing Sarah Connor would have been awesome (mainly so I could pretend to be ripped and hard a nails for 5 hours!) I think it'll still be worth some gaming time but I'll wait and pick it up second hand or better still rent it.

I'm looking forward to an Infamous review as its next on my 'to buy' list along with a game thats going to put a big grin on my face Batman: Arkham Asylum, I'm loving the fact that the special edition release comes with a replica batarang to send me to geek heaven.

You rocked the chef's whites Tracy, are you available for weddings etc, can always use a good caterer!!

Ooo infamous, my bro has

Ooo infamous, my bro has that on pre-order should be here on friday!

And playing on the drums in real life is so much better than the game...i have real issues with rock band because i just want to go off on a tangent and play what i can hear rather than what they tell me to! Still glad to hear you are a drummer too :)

My skateboard was run over by a car when i was like 14 :( will have to look into that controller. Thanks for the advice on godfather...i can see how the graphics may be a bit better because i found gta a little shadowy on the faces.

I wouldn't have been too surprised with the female characters in terminator, with the films they have always been quite female empowering. What with Linda Hamilton and Kristinna Loken. Sounds like it's another cash cow...kind of standard now for action movies to have the token game. 5 or 6 hours? Ouch. Nice kitchen though! I played cooking mama with the GF and wasn't that good :/ also i didn't like slicing the fish because it made me squirm

Sorry for having an annoyer username btw!

The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes, but don't be afraid...

oh how i have missed thisssssssss

loved it!!   .. the soup chef eyebrow wiggle deserved many gold stars on its own lol

and the tony hawk board sounds friggin awesome! you going to demo it for us? if we beg?  also it makes me giggle that angela hates robots ... but loves terminator? .. hmm im thinking a kristana loken robot may not be such a bad idea actually .. unless it turns out like buffy bot in which case.. not such a good idea perhaps : P

so much excitement

I loved the siren effect when you did the hand motion that is similar to groping but is not.

Thanks for the response on Godfather 2.  I do wonder what you mean about 'class' since I'm frequently wandering around the city in Saints Row 2 in a top hat, evening gloves and my fancy elegant walking stick/shotgun.  How can anything be classier than that?

$110 is a bit much for any game that doesn't come with some awesome peripherals in my view.   I have enjoyed Velvet Assassin, but then, I rented it, and knew it wasn't an FPS. I also like sneaking around and stabbing people in the crotch, or running around in a nightgown and slitting peoples throats while some type of flower petal floats around in the screen.  I'm still only halfway through, I just finished the Leave a Light On levels, but returned it so I could rent Gears of War to unlock 3 multiplayer characters  for Gears of War 2.

I’m glad to hear you’re taking the real life vs game life on a one suggestion in an episode mode.  Was that a chef’s outfit you were wearing? How exciting. And my, what a nice kitchen you have.

I appreciate this vlog

Another awesome episode, well done master chef Tracy.

I am going to hold off on Velvet Assassin for now... I am looking forward to Sims 3 and all of the fun stuff that will entitle. Right during finals week too :p

I just got Jade Empire and Mass Effect, I already beat them but I wanted to own a copy. If anybody hasn't played Jade Empire... check it out. Its made by the same company (bioware).

And lastly I am halfway through Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. This is a D&D style game made by the same company as Arcanum, great hardcore RPGs. Lots of character customization and an immersive world to play around in :) I can't believe I didn't know about this game earlier. Off to go suck blood from hapless female hotties... see ya next time.

thanks ladies

Great vlog.

Thanks for the review.  I tend to avoid movie based games like the plague.  I haven't ever had a good time with any of them.

I somehow talked Han into getting Crackdown, which we tried on co-op earlier tonight, which is rather interesting.  I've played it thru a few times, but never on co-op, it seems to work well.

Other than that i'm focusing on playing the games i already own.  I've gotten thru Half Life 2 and Episode 1 again, I'm trying to play thru Call of Duty Waw on Veteran difficulty and it's kicking my ass.  I'm also trying to finish the last 3 achievements of Fallouts Black Steel DLC.  I'm painfully addicted to RPG's... and I continually have to talk myself out of playing Mass Effect for a 3rd time.

Is there any games coming out that you guys are looking forward to? We seem to be going thru a dry spell of exciting new releases.  The only thing i can think of is Sims 3 is coming out next week.  Will you be reviewing that by chance? I'm a big sims geek... and will probably be traveling across this empty state of mine to purchase it the day it comes out.

I know that becoming the

I know that becoming the 'DON' is the best but hey why not go further and oh thats right you cant do anything else lol, oh well.

I LOVE Sallys salon so ill def be getting sallys spa and flight control thanks for the advice, ive been playing airport mania coz i love them kinda games and its wicked.

Sounds like Terminator was another Wanted and look there both movie to game games, that really sucks its so short ill def rent it out and not buy it.

Your kitchen is amazing, looking forward to seeing what you do next ep, and Angela i loved your tshirt it was wicked, bring on Bioshock 2 woohoo.

Been playing Bionic Comando which is ok, very repeatative but fun to play.

awesome vlog!

I'm thinking real-life cooking is much better than gaming life.  Food looks much nummier and likely smells/tastes waaaay better in real life.  Besides, ya gotta love Tracy in her little "soup chef" outfit...so cute!  Can't wait to see what you girls do next!  I'm down for some boxing...hmmm...I wonder who would win?  =) I think I'll put my money on Angela.

I love Sally's Spa and Sally's Salon (and a multitude of other time management games).  I play these games on the PC though and spend a LOT more hours playing them than console games.

This weekend I think I'm seriously going to try to rent at least one of the games that was recently reviewed because I haven't played any of them yet.  Besides, my girl is working most of the weekend and I'll have nothing to do except yard work...and who the hell wants to do that anyway.  Let's hope I don't feel guilty because it's supposed to be nice in Seattle again this coming weekend and it doesn't happen very often.

Ya'll have a good week!

Loved the cooking!

I'm a big terminator fan, although I'm not sure about the last movie. Bit disapointed they rushed the Terminator game cause the trailer looked really good, I think I'll wait for it to reach the bargin bin.

I'm currently playing Mass effect and I would just like to take this opportunity to gloat that my character is such a big lesbian! Yeah my love is blue and a different species but I see beyond our differences to what a hot lady she is. I love this game, can't wait for Mass effect 2.

To my BFF's Tracy and Angela ...

Tracy, were you a contestant on some whacky Australian cooking reality show or do you just keep a chef's uniform around the house for "special" occasions??

I know I don't actually talk about video games much, but I did reserve Fight Night Round 4 this week - I can't wait for that game to come out.  Oh how I love punching people in the face! I would like to request in advance an episode where you guys wear little boxing trunks and highlight your mad fighting skills while reviewing the new Fight Night.

On a sidenote, I saw an epsiode of MonsterQuest (a show on American History Channel about the quest to find scary monsters - hence the name of the show) about Tasmanian Tigers in Australia.  I immediately feared for your safety.  Look out for extinct monster tigers, ladies! They are back from the dead and coming for your video games!

Smooches!!

Hilarious!

Excellent job ladies- I thoroughly enjoy the cooking section. It made me laugh.

Wow, that death stare with the terminator music? It practically made me fall off the couch. I swear I will be better at the commenting!

Terminator looks like a rental for me- I'll probably check it out.

I am ashamed to admit I haven't turned on my xbox in about 2 weeks due to work and other personal stuff- so Bioshock is still sitting in it's little box, all lonely and sad.  I am going on vacation to Kansas City all next week, so hopefully when I get back I will have time to game.

I also have no comment on the look in Angela's eyes when she started thinking of Tracy in the "soup chef" uniform at the end...... *smirk*

Real life vs videogames

Oh, I just realized one thing that is better to do in games then real life that had been previously unlisted.

Running everywhere.  You know how when you can control how fast your character moves, you always go at full speed, running, sprinting, or even bunny hopping along?

Well, don't do it in real life.  The police will chase you.  As will large dogs. Not always at the same time, but something about someone runningeverywhere, for NO reason, makes people want to chase you.

Not that I speak frome xp or anything.

The one with the mad chef

That's funny, Tracy doesn't look mad. Oh, and nice diet coke product placement. ; )

As for real world vs gaming, how's about fishing?  I would assume both would be equivalentely snooze worthy. Too bad y'all don't have access to high powered paintball guns in Australia. Bummer, because nothing says hella fun like being covered in coin sized bruises for a week.

Tunnel hand gesture? Cheeky monkey!!!  And I just love Angela's expression while Tracy is giving the "death stare".  Too funny.  Off topic, congratulations on the nice article/interview in the latest issue of Curve Magazine.

I almost spit out my drink

I almost spit out my drink laughing when Tracy implied that Angela wanted to shoot here with a powerful paintgun (in a joking way obviously).

Ladies consider this terminator game a giant leap for terminator games the mosf of the ones released years ago for terminator and terminator 2 were mediocare to awful.

The angryvideo game nerd explains this better then I can.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/angry-video-screwattack/49944

For another real live vs video game  which is better segment how about hiding and waiting for your nemesis to come by.Or running for your life when you get discovered(i'm sure someone could get some use of of the nerf gun for this.)
