Brunch With Bridget: Episode 18 "Brunch with BAM"

Yes, it's true. We've been teasing this episode of Brunch with Bridget just like a soap opera. Week upon week of build-up, leaving you wondering "Will it pay off?"

The answer is: Yes. Wait no longer. BAM themselves, Eden Riegel (Bianca) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie) from All My Children fame are Bridget's bedmates this week. The girls answer your questions about their ground-breaking roles on AMC, explain the necessity (or lack thereof) of Zarf to Bridget, and get frisky with a sock monkey.

Most importantly, they allow Bridget to fulfill her directorial fantasies (and probably a few fantasies of your own) by acting out a "lost" AMC scene (i.e. one that Bridget wrote) that brings Bianca and Maggie close once again.

Really close.

I'm kinda speechless right now so, I'll watch again and hopefully have more to contribute to the ensuing discussion once all the other BAMmers wake up.

I'm glad I'm a night owl...I knew staying up late would be worth it.

Fan-freakin-tastic vlog this week.

All 3 lovely ladies were hilarious together. There were so many funny moments, and I loved when Liz semi-whispered under her breath, "Oh, the one I really had sex with?" lol Oh Lizbeth, how you love to tease us so.

As for not teasing us, I have to say I am thoroughly pleased with how Eden and Liz were so dedicated to the scene and did a few takes for us. And Bridget, thanks for writing/directing! You knew exactly what we wanted, and then E & L went above and beyond the call of duty. Extra points to Liz for humping Eden in take 3. haha

Oh, and I wonder what new role had Eden playing gay again? That was an interesting little tidbit she accidentally shared.

And I almost forgot...those are some very, very lucky monkeys. I think a lot of us wanted to switch places.

Oh the memories... of taping AMC just so I could fast forward through 98% of it to see the only storyline I cared about :) Little did I know that all I needed to do was wait a few years for you to be on BWB!

I have no words for how I feel about the character Zarf/Zoe... bless you, Eden for trying to find the good in that atrocity of a storyline...

I usually wake up at the right time to see BwB but today I woke up a little too early but that's ok because I could prepare my brunch and eat wile I watched it. But it's something very risky and now my laptop is dirty.

I've never watched AMC because I don't live in America.

Bridget is a great writer/director we want more of your work !!! You had a perfect cast also.

I do the same thing! Only unlike you, I woke up LATE and had family stuff to attend to first, so my brunch (Vegi Fajita Fritata, bacon, toast, an apple and coffee) were delayed until 11am...sigh. But, TOTALLY worth the wait!!! I love AMC for going there, with the first lesbians some 23 years or so ago and then with FAB, BAL and BAM. Have to say, Bridget, you do look cute with the ball cap! Thanks to Eden and Liz for a fun morning. And now I'm off to watch Imaginary Bitches.

to look it up and if you look up the word "nothing" it does say "rien" and, if you look up "rien", it also says "nothing". NOT to be confused with "rein" which does not mean "nothing", but of a few options can mean: pl. loins. okay...so if you get confused and love many nothings it is that equal to loving loins? Just wondering in my confused little mind.

So back to Eden and Liz...wasn't that kiss HOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTT!

BAM! That was THE best vlog ever! Eden and Liz, you are awesome for doing this, your chemistry is still so obvious, and it's wonderful to see that you are such good friends. What a wonderful way to wake up early Sunday morning... BWB with BAM!

After watching this ep. of BWB, I'm all for letting Bridget start directing more... how about directing an episode of 3Way? Now if only during the heyday of BAM on AMC we had a director like Bridget to cut through the subtext and give us viewers what we really wanted... more of BAM kissing like the Eden/Liz kiss we just saw on BWB! Props to Eden and Liz for giving 110% to this mini-scene on BWB!

It was wonderful to see Eden & Liz back together reminiscing about BAM and showing us what could have been... we may have "lost" these two, but at least we have 2 more wonderful heterosexual allies in the world with Eden & Liz around, and we can certainly use more people like them.

I love the concept of "Imaginary Bitches" and the merchandise itself... very cool!

The image of Liz in a tank top is seared into my mind now and had me thinking during the whole episode that she'd be perfect for Dorothy Snarker's "Tank Top Tuesday". After all she's scrappy and sexy and looks ultra hot in her tank, with or without the sock monkey's!

and it rocks. It's nice to see Eden showing her funny side. It had to be a blast for her after so many years of melodrama. Oh, and do writers not understand what fans do with couple names? Bianca and Maggie ..BAM. Lena and Bianca...Lianca. Bianca and Zarf....how could they not see BARF coming? Or were the writers so ticked about the ridiculous storyline that they did it on purpose? Anyway thanks to Eden and Liz for being so cool, and to everyone else who made this happen. It made my week.

totally agree with you whitetank! Liz does has an amazing smile, makes you want to say something funny just to see her smile :D

and yes omg I loved Bridget's comments while the very special scene of BAM was going on, which btw had me like this the entire time :D :O :D :D i'm am so happy right now. I love those two ladies. amazing. OH AND OF COURSE BRIDGET LOVE YOU! but you know what? super jealous you got to interview them, that's ok though, someone had to do it haha it was awesome.

one more thing, SO FREAKING AMAZING THAT YOU USED MY QUESTION!!! I told you it was a good one...I'm still curious as to who Liz was talking about though. I feel so cool right now :P doesn't happen very often :P lol

I LOVE SUNDAYS!!!!!! Brunch with Bridget episodes just keep getting better and better. I think it's safe to say we all agree with Bridget when she said that this was the best episode ever!

Congrats to Liz for winning th pillow fight. Girl's got some mad skillz! She totally pummel'd Eden. Awesome.

I watched the first episode of Imaginary Bitches and and it was really good, totally subscribed to it on my RSS reader.

Loved the whole vlog. I never watched AMC but I'll youtube their scenes later. They have so much chemistry in real life. I'm glad to know they're real life friends.

Bridget was like a kid in a candy store with them. I can imagine that the girls on the All-American Cheerleading squad were something like BAM. I would have been giggling like a little girl the whole time too! *drools* So Hot!

Well, this vlog has moved into the top 4 of my favorite BWB episodes.

That was great and hilarious Eden and Liz have amazing chemistry no wonder I loved them as Bam.How gorgeous are they as well *drools* and then Bridget in the bed as well yeah one of my fantasies just came true lol.AMC have to get them back and have Bam as a onscreen couple they rock.

I loved the Zarf jokes hee and the fact Eden didn't actually call the s/l good and the fact both were upset over Maggie's cheating.I like to think like Eden does that Bam have gotten back together in Paris but I still want them on screen-Imaginary Bitches will do but it's not the same.

THANK YOU BRIDGET you are hot and a talented director like people have said lets get Spashley to do a bed scene as well lol.

You made this AMC fan very happy today Bridget. Liz and Eden were marvelous! It was so much fun to see them.

I just LOVED your scene and direction. I laughed so hard at your response I could barely see for the tears. They really gave their 'all' and loved the multiple 'takes'.

"Imaginary Bitches' is great and hope they continue it. AE seems to be on the forefront of bringing great webisodes to light. Thanks for that!!
