Bigger, lamer, and uncut: the new, full-length "Lesbian Vampire Killers" trailerLast month, we shared with you the teaser for the upcoming UK film Lesbian Vampire Killers. Though the teaser didn't give her much information with which to work, AE blogger Dorothy Snarker speculated that the film will be much more focused on the killing of the lesbian vampires than any fun with the lesbian vampires themselves. A scene from Lesbian Vampire Killers The full-length trailer for the film is out now, and it looks as if Snarker was right (as usual). In case you haven't heard of the film, it follows to male friends (played by James Corden and Mathew Horne of the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey) on a hiking excursion gone awry. When they find themselves in a country village populated by a bunch of scantily clad women, they think that they've landed on a real-life Fantasy Island. But the women turn out to be lesbian vampires, and the friends spend the rest of the film running from, taunting, and ultimately killing the blood-sucking lesbians. Straight guys clobbering lesbians on the big screen? Not exactly the stuff of a cinematic revolution. You can watch the full trailer below:
The film is set for release in the UK on March 20, 2009, but has no US release date at this time. You can go to the film's website to download screen savers, wallpaper, and sound clip files such as "Under Full On Lesbian Attack," "Hot Dykes" and "Clam Lappers." Yes, you can go there, but do you really want to? You can also use the site to create your own "My Lesbian Vampire Dance Widget." Intrigued? So was I, so I clicked on that page and read the following instructions: "Control the lesbian vampires as they dance to tease you!" Yes, you can upload a picture of your face to the site and then see yourself getting a creepy lap dance (of sorts) from some lesbian vampires! Is this function really as "bleeding brilliant" as the site proclaims it to be? It wasn't for me, as I've gotten more joy out of "elfing" myself. But maybe it's just a matter of personal taste. After seeing the full film trailer and the website, are you now more likely now to watch the film? Submitted by on February 17, 2009 - 9:00am. |

Ah sue me
but I'm gonna see it.
I'm telling myself it's just so I can hate it better, so that's the official reason.
OMG I absolutely LOVE
OMG I absolutely LOVE Mathew Horne !!!
So as bad as this film sounds, I’m sorry but I’m just going to have to watch it for him. And actually he’s done some good acting stuff in the past, so I would be interested to see how bad this really is (considering that he’s going to be in it).hahaha see, I love James
hahaha see, I love James Corden so I'm gonna HAVE to watch it.
And don't be fooled AE readers, Corden and Horne are EPIC, so it might just be good.
Go here for my view on all things lesbian: http://allthingslesbeau.blogspot.com
I love James too
Hmmm, well when I first
Hmmm, well when I first heard about this I was under the impression it was going to be done for the irony factor. Or it'd be something like Shaun of the Dead. I mean I love films that kind of send themselves and popular culture up. I'm all for irony.
But this? Yeah, this is pretty frackin' retarded.
Let's chop loads of lesbians up...cos THAT'S hilarious.
I don't see the irony, and I don't see the humor. Who knows, maybe if I watch it (online, as I would never pay to watch something like this) then it might become clearer, but I doubt it.

I like their humor so will
I like their humor so will watch this one when available (online, dvd). Like the guys and they make enough guy jokes about themselves so I'm not offended.
Ditto.
Definitely
...not going to watch this. (ugh)
I totally am into weird humor (Airplane, some Monty Python, even Elvira! *lol*), but this really sounds lame as hell. ;-)
Wow
That sucks. Even as an exploitation movie: that just sucks. What's taking Bitch Slap so long??
Take a look/listen at myspace (www.myspace.com/robinjayunplugged) and add me as your friend! See ya @ myspace!!!
Bitch Slap!
It's Fine
No big, I have no interest in it, but it just seems like its supposed to be one of those campy dumb comedies like Shaun of the Dead, or Austin Powers...things like that.
I pretty much expected that when I saw the title "Lesbian Vampire Killers"...I mean..really?
Anyway. WHEN IS IN TWILIGHT'S SHADOW GOING TO STEP OUT OF THE SHADOWS...AND ON TO A TV/COMPUTER SCREEN????????

Oh the Humour!
You know, this actually looks like a hoot! I know, I too would rather have a lesbian version of Twilight, but to me this is some hilarious stuff ya'll :D Certainly NOT offended :P

hmmm
I wonder if...
...we should do a poll of British v American (/rest of the world) opinion on this film. I'm wondering if it's mainly the Brits that will give this a chance. Trouble is, these guys have done some "crackin'' work in Gavin and Stacey (although, Ruth Jones is major part of that!) and Matthew Horne is adorable of The Catherine Tate Show. I'm kinda willing to give it a chance too...just because I think the film is so ridiculous, and the joke is mainly on the two guys. I could be wrong...but I think it could be cult-funny because it's meant to be over-doing it.
Hope it isn't a disaster area, mainly for the sakes of Gavin and Stacey which is the best thing on telly, anywhere on the globe.
I was thinkin exactly the same thing
Maybe this film would be more appealing to Brits than Americans. I personally love Gavin and Stacey (though I'm not sure it'd be funny if you're not British, being Welsh I think makes it even funnier). Obviously this doesn't have the same writers as Gavin and Stacey, so I don't expect it to be as good. But I do like the actors so its bound to be pretty funny. I don't think it looks gory enough though.

different humour
I totally agree.
Americans have very different humour to Brits. I find that Aussies and Kiwis often have similar taste in humour to Brits. Take the American version of Kath&Kim, they totally screwed it because Americans have a completely different humour style.
dude...yes...
I loved Shaun of the dead and Hot Fuzz and this looks somewhat like it... I thought from what everyone was saying that I would be offended and hate it but... it looks funny as fuck and it doesn't look like anything homophobic or hateful, just your run of the mill "loser boys go camping and find a nest of lesbian vampires" movie... and I think that's what we all need.

Does this make me a bad lesbian??
I'll give it a chance -- and I am American. But I gotta say the reasons I will are the same as if I lived over in the UK ... I think Gavin & Stacy is hilarious and I love Matthew Horne on the Catherine Tate Show. And well, it's a campy vampire movie -- it's really hard to pass up!!
I mean I am a woman and I am not blind to the bad journey this may be, but I can't help it! I suspect it's all part of some mad plan ... and I am fully prepared to take the shame if necessary ...Maybe I give them too much credit ... At least there will be hot women and the beautiful Welsh countryside!
ok, so i'll be watching
ok, so i'll be watching
Def should give it a chance . .
These guys are good writers, theyve made/been involved in some really good stuff through the years, both dramatic and comedic and this trailer is hilarious, funny as eff! i'm still giggling!
Jimmy : "country air . . nothing like it"
Fletch:"smells like normal air . . with cow shit in it"
they both write strong female characters too - Fletch bouncing off the door :"christ that thing is rock solid!" til the Lotte kicks it in!
its def along the lines of shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, i can see the humour is a little 'british' and i dont think its intended or is trying to undermine same sex attraction/relationships
i dont think it is offensive and is a little clever to play on the general idea of guys being into girl on girl/lesbian stuff when the girls don't actually want to sleep with them . . now done with vampires!
like TattooedWhovian says least there'll be scenes with hot girls (and the cast are pretty hot: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1020885)
I might go
are you serious?
My
thoughts exactly.
Although
this looks pretty lame to me, I know some lesbians that I consider vampires atm and I would like to see them get 'killed'..
HAHA.
I don't think I'll see this.
uhm ya...
... probably going to watch it. I'm just one of these people who can laugh more about retarded, stupid, lame and senseless movies than about comedies.
Could also be that I'm relieved 'cause when I saw the title I just had to think about "Attack Girls' Swim Team versus the Undead" ahhahaa... nothing is worse than that :D
That trailer actually made
That trailer actually made me laughed, I think it mostly has to do with the campy feel and the accent! I love the British accent. I won't go to the cinema to watch it but I'll rent the DVD to watch it with friends at home and have a good laugh.
Picture of 'light is like water' author
A little too gay?
Hmm, I'm probably going to hear for it when saying this, but I think you can take some things a little too serious - a.k.a too gay. This is, obviously from what I can tell from the trailer, a pretty dumb movie which will be forgotten pretty soon (well, at least I won't bet my "Oscar money" on that movie), so why not treat it like that?
Yeah, I'm not going to see it and I find the theme of the movie stupid, but mostly because I tend to enjoy more serious/meaningful movies than something like this. Not because I'm offended by the storyline of lesbian vampire killers. (Quite honestly I have no clue how someone was able to come up with such a stupid plot, but oh well...??)
Man, sometimes things and reactions can get a little too gay and feminist. Why not just laugh about this stupid movie (and laugh a lot harder about the fact that it's going to be forgotten asap anyway)?
They make movies about stupid hillbillies, snobby rich people, crazy ethnic people and apparently now also lesbian vampire killers. This is obviously a ridiculous movie and it's not worth "fighting."
Well, I'm a sucker for
ditto!
i also like the idea of Twilight lesbian version. Edward is just so unreal cause his character is closer to a lez or maybe it's just me =p
I'm sensing a lack of humor
I'm sensing a lack of humor for some posters.
I'm definitely seeing this, stupid or not, it's going to be a great way to kill some brain cells.
Agreed
Come on, guys, lighten up. This is camp. Every camp movie makes fun of one group or another (and it looks like this is making fun of several all at once); that's kind of what they're made for. I'm looking forward to this, too; it looks pretty hilarious. Honestly, if we get madly offended because someone decides that lesbian vampires are hot, isn't that just a tad bit hypocritical? I mean, I know I'm not arguing the point... Think of every other vampire movie ever: the vampires, pardon the pun, bite it in the end, be they black, white, gay, straight, male, female, whatever. So relax and enjoy the stupid humor, yeah?
I couldnt even finish the
I couldnt even finish the trailer it's too painful. This movie sucks!
If after the article I was convinced of not watching it, the preview showed that karman and snarker were right.
what a sh**y film! yuk!
Meh.
As much as I love lesbians, vampires, and british people and humor, I don't think I'll be able to watch this. Seems like it will just make me angry. If it were only combined in a different way (ie a lesbian vampire from the UK killing a bunch of dumb guys and showing up at my apartment) then I would be in. ;)

Wow.
I now have the perfect reason NOT to look forward to my birthday.
I'd love to know how or rather why, somebody actually gave anybody a budget to make this film.
also, just because I'm british: Why on earth does every british person in film have that same accent that nobody in the country actually has!?
Can't wait
I'm still very excited about this.
It's my kind of bad movie. Great humor. Plus lesbian vampire horror comedy set in Wales...what's not to love?

I've been wanting to see Salo for the longest time!
Aside from the gross shit, was it a good movie?
~Kishona~
(Love me do)
I'm not sure that some ppl
I'm not sure that some ppl really get this, it doesn't look terrible at all! while it might not be your thing or aspects of of you may not like its meant to seem bad in some ways, i don't think ppl realise. Its kinda like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz etc, hose guys are funny, they made the girl in thr trailer look better than themselves, they're hardly make their characters seem big or tough are they?
Anyhoozles, the bit at the end where he says something about a big gay werewolf, my friend works somewhere in the film ind. and she said they got the script and the sequel is actually called 'Big Gay Werewolves' or something like that!
