Angelina Jolie is a money-maker

The media gossip hasn't tainted my love for Angelina at all, but I don't love her quite as much as I did 5 to 6 years ago. For awhile every movie she came out with I loved and I bought all her old movies shortly after I became a fan. I just feel like in the last couple of years her movies haven't been all that good. I still watch the majority of them, though. Also, every single one of her kids is absolutely adorable. :)

Yes, my love for Angelina has dwindled as of the last couple of years.

Hilariously, I also had tons of her posters up on my walls in college.

The shift is because of a couple of things. Superficially, I too think she looked her best with more weight on - she never looked better than she did in Tomb Raider (just look at that picture in comparison to the others), in my opinion. I'm not a fan of the bone rack look she's been sporting of late, although I feel for her struggles (she's mentioned losing weight after her mom died).

Also, the constant overexposure killed it a little bit for me. I remember watching her in Foxfire, Gia, and the smaller films. It was fun, not every person on the planet was wanking to her yet. She wasn't on the cover of every magazine and tabloid in the world, and she took risks with her roles and her interviews.

I am really glad she's happy, and I can't praise her enough for taking charitable work seriously. That said, I'm a bit tired of reading about the perfect wundercouple.

She'll always be my first love, though, and I thank her for being a part of me realizing I was gay.

Why are people surprised that the adolescent affection they had for Angelina Jolie has dwindled over the years? Surprise, surprise,  you grew up and began to see Angelina for the multi-dimensional individual she is, not simply the concept she represented for you. Perhaps you found some of those dimensions a bit less attractive or perhaps the concepts important to you changed. Whatever the case, it's hardly surprising - although I do think the question is nothing more than a cynical avenue by which to post pictures of Angelina. 

 

 

I still love Angelina just as much as I always have. She's never been my #1 crush, but she's steadily remained in my top 10 for years and years. She's beautiful, and a great actress, and she seems like a good person, and I'm a huge fan of cheesy action, so as long as she keeps doing what she's doing, I'm gonna keep liking her. The first Tomb Raider is one of my favourite movies of all times (and I'm not saying it's the objectively best movie, or anything, just that it's in the top 5 of movies I enjoy watching over and over again).

All the media dissing hasnt budged my admiration for her. She is a great actress! I enjoy all of her movies very much..except maybe wanted she could have had a much bigger role on there Lol. I dont think shes hot as most of you do, she is such a great actress and a very powerful and kind woman!. To have so much kids, hell, I would do the same if I had money , shes a role model.

I still love Angelina. Because while some of her films have just been okay (or maybe just better than), she still has other films that have been really good.

But i have to admit, my love hasn't been as strong like 3-4 years ago.

Ever since she's gotten with Brad she's gotten boring and skinny. And i knew that Brad was going to do that to her when they got together. i was like "oh no! they're dating! well we've lost our wild child for sure. He's gonna make her all BOORING. "

I Knew that because thats how brad is. She's still sexy though, she just needs a big fat burger!! I just miss her wild flirty side!!!!!!!!!! :(

Somewhere around 2003, I noticed the shift. The edgy girl that eschewed the Hollywood establishment, jumped into fountains with her clothes on and had interesting things to say in interviews was replaced by this fembot baby-machine that wanted to save the poor children of the world. The dark circles under her eyes and deep lines around her mouth that made her face less than perfect but far more interesting suddenly vanished. She's got THE best plastic surgeon on the planet, because it's only when you compare previous photos/movies that you can even tell. Well that and the fact that she has the same expression in all of her photos now.

I didn't really get her attraction to Billy Bob Thornton, but he's a thousand times the depth of vapid Brad.

So no, this later model Stepford Angelina does nothing for me.

It was that special "tingle" that she gave me watching Gia that helped me to finally admit my queerness to myself.  For that I will always be grateful.

However, I too find the instant, physical reaction slacking off and it has a lot to do with the weight loss.  The first time I noticed it was during The Good Shepard with Matt Damon.  I couldn't stop fixating on her wrist bones.  Then during that completely unbelievable scene in Wanted when she was beating the crap out of the James McAvoy character it almost looked like the weight of the brass knuckles was going to rip her shoulder out of its socket.

if you haven't read her book "notes from my travels" about travelling and meeting refugees, you really should.  and the proceeds go to the UNHCR, so it's win/win.  

I love Angelina. So much. Always have, always will. on top of being absoloutely gorgeous, i love everything she stands for. Despite what almost everyone says, She's a good person, with a good heart who genuienly cares for people, and i just love her for that. She's beautiful on the inside & out. Although, the media coverage is a bit annoying, and sometimes yeah it does turn me off her. Sometimes i miss the old Angelina, the wild, crazy one who did what she wanted & didn't care what people thought, but everyone changes & i like who she is now too.

And oh my god she's hot xD

I recently watched 'Changeling' and it reminded me of what an amazing dramatic actress she is. I was getting sick of her mass market movies and craving for the 'Girl Interrupted' Angelina. She's still hot and she's still sexy.

I totally agree with this statement:

Compared to back in high school...I'm no where near at the Angie loving level I used to be.

I was OBSESSED...in the strongest sense of the word...like REALLY obsessed...I thought she would somehow end up marrying me. Haha

I remember going to see "Girl, Interrupted" and knowing in the moments of that film...that I was gay. After seeing her...I just knew that I was in love with women and always would be. I will always have her to thank for that...and I will always love her deep down...but now I've moved on to real people :)

I think for most of us...if she were to be high profile but be with a woman...we'd be ten times more likely to be obsessed with her still.
