Amanda Seyfried rolls her eyes about kissing Megan FoxWhile decent movies with lead lesbian characters are hard to come by these days, a few minutes of cheap girl-on-girl action has become a staple in Hollywood pictures. Sure, it can be hot, but is the painfully obvious “shock value” factor as frustrating to actors as it is to the rest of us? Apparently, to actress Amanda Seyfried it is.
When discussing the makeout scene between herself and Megan Fox in upcoming Diablo Cody film Jennifer’s Body, Seyfried seemed less-than-enthused. “We knew that it was going to play a really big role in publicizing the movie,” Seyfried told WENN. “We kind of rolled our eyes at the idea of having to make out."
Seyfried plays Fox’s nerdy best friend, Needy Lesnicky, in the film, which she actually is excited about.
"Being a lead (like Megan)," Seyfried said, "you have that weird pressure of feeling like you have to look attractive. In this movie, I didn't worry about any of that s--t. I don't want to play the one that everybody is supposed to want to have sex with." Don’t worry, Amanda, Megan will work that sexy face enough for the both of you, I’m sure.
While the makeout scene between Fox and Seyfried surely drummed up some extra interest in the film, the buzz surrounding Jennifer’s Body seems to be universal, which is good news for Diablo Cody. I am (clearly) not a huge fan of Fox, but between and Cody’s Twitter page, I have become quite a fan of hers. Example Tweet: Actors are debating which positions to try during fake sex. I hope one of them falls fake asleep afterwards and the other gets fake mad. She also drinks and tweets a lot, which is always amusing. Cody is also the cover woman for the new issue of Bust magazine.
“Any time I do a red carpet, I feel vaguely confrontational,” Cody told the magazine. “I feel like, ‘All right, now somebody’s going to come on the red carpet who doesn’t have a stylist, who did her own hair and makeup, who’s wearing a $25 dress from H&M. I have cellulite. I have big hips and big thighs. And you have to look at me.’ I feel like people have to pay attention to somebody who would typically be invisible.” I plan on sucking up my Fox-hate for a few hours and seeing Jennifer’s Body in September. I'll see it.
I don't particularly like Fox's acting, but I'll see it. I like Diablo Cody, and maybe she'll make Fox less... less... I don't even know. But yeah, I'll see it.
Very occasionally, if you pay attention, life doesn't suck.

yes i will
but i loooove Fox i think she's hot and her eyes are verry intense i like that, i like that alot. her last name says what i think of her ;)
True feelings can never be put into words.
therfore when you can't explain how you feel about someone that's when you know..
she must be straight for her
she must be straight for her to roll her eyes like that. lol
enough said.
Yeah
honestly
I think the eye roll comes
I think the eye roll comes more from the fact that the production company is using this one measly scene to publicize the movie and in turn, a bunch of horny boys (and girls) will just want to see the movie for that reason. I read a recent review of the film, done by a straight guy who's main complaint was that in the advertising for the film they lead the audience to believe that they'd get a chance to see Megan Fox's tits and when he watched the film, you actually didn't see them...or maybe saw them very briefly. Anyway, it's pretty ridiclous that people are drooling over a small lesbian kiss and that the advertisers are playing the "two hot actress get to lez" out card to promote the film when it actually looks like a solid and smart horror film. Can't wait to see it....

Now,
I realize its popular to dislike Megan Fox for all the foolish quotes she drops but let's take something important into account:
She's a hot, vapid brunette who by her own admission smokes a ton of weed. Can you really expect anything else from her?

Hey - I wouldn't want to
Hey - I wouldn't want to make out with Megan Fox either. Everything that comes out of that mouth is offensive. I will definitely not be seeing that movie -- the hype Fox has is really undeserved. She's got a pretty face, but damn that is only ugly human being.
I can understand Seyfried rolling her eyes at the hyped up kiss. Is it necessary to the plot of the film? I'm guessing not. But that's mainstream media, isn't it? It's all about exploiting women to earn a buck.
And yet...
Said women CHOOSE to do the film anyway.
It's like Katherine Heigle complaining about Knocked Up being sexist. She read the script, signed up for the movie, did all the scenes without complaint... made her money off the film, THEN turned around and complained that it was sexist. I called bullshit at the time (and still do) because if she had a real issue with the film and still did it anyway... that makes her a lot worse than any of the people who wrote it.
More to the point: Can you really call it exploitation if they willingly partake in it?
My response: No, you really can't.

Sudol the Rotten: "We Don't Need Permission for ANYTHING!"
I totally agree..
Then again, it is possible that the kissing scene was written into the script long after Amanda Seyfriend decided to sign up for this movie, especially since I doubt the scene is very crucial for the fluidity of the plot.
I'm not a big fan of this type of movie, so I won't be watching it, nor am I big fan of Megan Fox. Having said that, if someone can point me in the right direction to the Youtube video that gives us a sneek preview of said kiss, I'd be much obliged. :))
i completely agree
nobody pointed a gun at her head if she did not want to kiss hot Fox she should not have accepted the roll, they would have found someone else who is willing.
it's only exploitation if the people involved did not know, so in this case it's a freaking movie so i'm guessing they knew so therefore it's not exploitation.
and sure the kiss i irrelevent to the plot but she wrote her script so hey...

I apologize for the multiple posts. I don't know why it did that, and I can't figure out how to delete them.
No, the movie can exploit
Say it again!
I've read the script for
I've read the script for 'Jennifer's Body' and the kiss is, I think, necessary for the plot. It's about Megan's character having control and her, like, seducing Amanda's character, but then choosing to not eat her. Ha.
Just saying. :)
yeah
i don't care much for megan fox either... the first time i saw her i thought she was hot but now i don't even find her attractive.
Amanda Seyfried and Diablo Cody I do like. I'm curious to see the film. I wonder if it'll show in Mexico haha it'll probably take a while.
i understand where Seyfried
i understand where Seyfried is coming from for sure. but the issue of gratuitous girl on girl make outs appears to be somewhat complex. visibility in the wrong context.

can't win right?
I feel like Seyfried couldn't win. I mean if she is excited about the kiss then she is a lesbian and if she rolls her eyes we get annoyed.
I was thinking what it would feel like to be a gay male and how they never see men kissing in main stream. I mean Brokeback Mountain but that's really it. Atleast sometimes we get to see some girls kissing (even just for marketing). You know how people think "bad pub is good pub" but I was wondering what people think about this when it comes to lesbians in the media.....
Diablo Cody on the cover got me totally distracted
INVISIBLE?
Diablo, hot stuff, call me.

TOTALLY
I don't think so
Unfortunately.
GanjaBabe, read Diablo Cody's "Candy Girl". It's an interesting and fun read.

I concur...
I would *way* rather make out with Diablo Cody than Megan Fox.
Jussayin'!
Get in line
*snickers*
Please ;)

Uhhhh
i agree
Well...
"I don't want to play the one that everybody is supposed to want to have sex with." Well I don't know about this 'everybody' she's talking about, but I would defenitely take Amanda 'Hot, even as a Nerd' Seyfried over Megan 'She's so not a' Fox, anyday, anytime, anywhere...Okay, well, maybe not anywhere, but my point remains!
If I ever start the think straight, this heart'll start a riot in me
-Paramore(That's What You Get)
i agree with you! i'd pick amanda.
I don't care too much for Fox's personality, but I have to admit I love her looks... Her dumb quotes are irritating and a few of my friends have met her (since we're both from Florida) & she's was a bitch.
So, I'll be watching it mainly for Amanda [:
XOXOX
Amen!
Amanda Seyfried is a bit young for my taste, but I'd take the sexy nerd over the vapid brunette any day of the week. (Megan Fox is pretty but she always has the dumb look.)
One day, the grammar police will kill them all.
Definitely seein this
I am really hyped for this movie. I personally love Megan Fox, she is sexy and does & says whatever the hell she wants and doesn't really give a damn about it. Super hot.
Plus the movie actually looks really good and Diablo Cody is awesome as well.
My microwave popcorn is better anyway...
swoon
Well I can't wait
I agree a lot of girlkissing is just exploitative but this is one of those movies where I think a little Sapphic content can only add to my enjoyment. I think Diablo can pull it off.
Also having seen the trailer, this is one of my most anticipated movies of the year. :p It looks like great fun and I'm not a fan of what I've seen of Megan's acting (only How to Lose Friends...) but it's not going to stop me giving her a chance here.
I'll check it out only
I'll check it out only because she rolled her eyes at kissing Megan Fox. She shows me that she is more about the craft than the hype. Very sexy!
Remember: Karma can be a real B@#%* if you don't treat her with respect!
Megan=hot
hahahahahaahahaa
Cody's twitter page
Twitter
The link works for me.. Try this:
http://twitter.com/diablocody
If that doesn't work, type "Twitter Diablo Cody" into Google. The first result (Brook Busey) is the one you want.
Thank you!
well its the opposite happening lol
i find amanda attrasctive in the movie not megan i love her look especially the pic of her up above in the hoodie yum! lol
"Hands upon my back again.
Survival is my only friend.
Terrified of what may come.
Remember I will always love you,
Even as I claw your fucking throat away.
But it will end no other way"
Not my type of movie.
This isn't my type of movie. I am not a big fan of horror movies unless it is worthy to see, they scare me. Megan is hot but she is... little off. Every time she speaks she says something utterly stupid. I liked her better back then. Not only was she more quiet but she was more naturally pretty to. I prefer he with her mouth shut and looking more natural lol :P Like in these pictures right here. :DAll she needs is to live by this saying that Abraham Lincoln said, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool (or stupid) than to speak out and remove all doubt”. - No offence to those who love her, I like her to, but she needs to think before she speaks. :)
Otherwise than that, I really don't care for Amanda Seyfried rolling her eyes about kissing Megan Fox...Um... that is not a sexy
Um... that is not a sexy face... scary maybe.
