"Canada's Next Top Model" contestant gets ousted right after coming out

I believe the insinuation that Rebeccah's elimination was the result of her sexuality was pretty much the product of poor editing. It's unfortunate nobody would have noticed the potential for this misunderstanding and attempted to re-edit the ep. I loved Rebeccah and though she had a lot of potential (they addressed on girls braces - why not help out this one with an obvious anxiety disorder?) IMO she's by far one of the more all around contenders present in this competition with a little grooming she could have been the next Kristin McMemany (sp?).

Anyways - this ep. just hammered in the fact that these shows are far more about creating 'good television' that genuinely offering an opportunity to 'regular unknown people'. I can understand why Tricia Helfer chose to distance herself from this program...

I am sad she was voted off because I was rooting for her. But I am also happy because Cambrigde is fifteen minutes away from my home town and small enough to run into her... ;)

damn! i missed this episode, i didn't know she came out or was eliminated yet. i was rooting for her to win too :(

I live right near Cambridge. Wonder if I'll see her walking around.

it's too bad was rooting for her :( the blog is missing my favorite picture of her though, the twiggyish one, i loved it! i often didn't see what the judges did when talking about her i often thought she did a lot better than they gave her credit for. i did unfortunately agree that her last photo not so good, but still don't hink she should of been eliminated. maybe i'll move to ontario to also run into her :)

My favourite right from the start! I'm sad to see her go. I don't know who I'll be rooting for, Lindsay is pretty but I'm not fond of her personality. And Nikita although she is beautiful and makes some, sometimes rather stunning pictures, she needs an atittude adjustment or to get kicked off. I think I'll be supporting Miriam, perhaps a bit half heartedly, but to me its not just about the looks its also the personality and she's a bit "airy" I guess but she is sweet.

That first pic is frightening. She's probably not *that* skinny but what an angle.

So as she made the comment my first reaction was "oooh I wonder what afterellen is going to blog about rebeccah". lol.

So I was super pissed when she got kicked off. She definitely did better than heather that week. I think every week that she ends up in the bottom two she did better than someone. It should have been Heather versus Linsay and Linsay should have gone home. She hasn't provided a single good photo.

 

I have dubbed this season of CNTM as "Canada's least attracitve models". Seriously...other than Rebeccah...they aren't that great. Megan and Heather are starting to grow on me but most of those other girls? Ridiculous. 

Mind you I seem to always want the andro girl to win.

so im so upset that she got voted off... i was rooting for her, she went to my high school and shes a really nice girl, its too bad they sent her home
