The "Millionaire Matchmaker" capitalizes on gay and lesbians

She sucks. I really don't have a very intelligent thing to say since reading her comments have melted my brain. Could she be more ignorant?????

oh wow.  methinks she won't be on another season after this crap.  but i wonder will her client base dry up as people see what an idiot she is.  i caught a few moments of one episode and a female client was telling patti that she never learned how to speak apporopriately to people.  basicly the client felt like patti wasn't listening to her or respecting her.

sheesh.  can't see myself ever wanting to visit this woman.  and did she REALLY say that about bisexual women?  damn.

the part about the testosterone, .. what in the world? Its been scientifically proven that gay men on average do not have more estrogen than straight men! It was even on an episode of "This American Life", where the gay guy they worked with who like musicals (more flaming I suppose) had MORE testosterone than any of the straight men at the office!!  She is just making science up out of her brain!! What the hell? Whatev. I just hope that most people realize what an idiot she is and that this ignorance doesn't catch on like wildfire or I'll have to start passing out pamplets titled, "Gay Myths: Stay Well Informed on the Homosexual Community as a way to protect the world from ignorance!"

but then again i suppose she cannot be completely to blame. why are gays willingly (i assume) coming onto her show?

That picture of her with that spastic expression with the speech bubble saying, "I looove the gays!" I thought surely that was just a joke.. until I saw the video.. its real! She really did make that face and say, "I looove the gays!" haha.... great job!

But you know, the ignorance and all that sucks, but the overall thing, I mean, it is important to include 'the gays' right? Even on trashy matchmaker shows? 

You have to watch her show with the proper mindset, I love the stuff that comes out of her mouth, a comedian could do a whole show based on her comments.  My favorite this season...."Vaginas are fun to play with"  Patti said one intelligent thing this season...

She's so frikkin dumb...

I am embarrassed to admit that I have watched the show several times...it's like a car wreck...just to damn hard to look away.  I do always feel dumber though after watching.

I actually cringed while listening to her and the etiquette coach talk about gender roles...I wanted to reach through the TV and punch her. 

While she is entertaining (in the "oh man, what an idiot/did that really come out of her mouth?" way), she is ridiculous, ignorant and just plain uneducated and hopefully Bravo will realize that when considering a renewal.

Suprisingly, I've met people who are way more ignorant than that.

I have no tolerance for her. That show is pitiful. What has the world come to? Some cheap trick!

I was watching this yesterday and I was so annoyed with her! She met a woman in one of her castings and was like, "You look.. not straight. Do you like the pretty boys? Yeah, you're gay." WTF does that mean? I hate when television personalities spout such antiquated views on gender and sexuality. I wasn't even aware of some of the things that were pointed out in this post. I did see in a preview for the next episode that she asks a gay millionare "When you have sex are you on the top or the bottom?" This is her way of assigning him a "role" in his relationships. Is he the butch or the femme? This is so ridiculously old school it makes me nauseous. I hope millionare members of the LGBT community are as annoyed as I am and won't employ her services.

Could she be any more ridiculous on her thoughts about the gays!! I don't think she should be aloud to have a tv program if she is going to be passing her out landish views about gay people on to who ever is foolish enough to believe her. Especially on Bravo, since I thought that it was a gay friendly network and her show is not very gay friendly!

Honestly, I don't know how good of a matchmaker she is for ANYONE at all. The first two episodes I saw (and thank God the only two episodes I've seen) did not impress me at all, none of the millionaires that she set up ended up in happy relationships....I don't know if she's ever been successful, but those two episodes did not give me a good impression, thank God I'm not a millionaire yet. And does she really have to call us "the gays"? I don't appreciate it.

Unfortunately I have seen her on several shows and she makes me want to either rip my cable out and never watch TV again, or cry over humanity. She promotes ridiculous stereotypes about woman and dating that I naively had hoped were a thing of the past...and pushed them back into the present. She was giving woman advice on Tyra about how you can not have you're hair short cause men want woman with long flowing hair and all this nonsense. After everything the LGBT community has been through in general, and then with Prop 8 she is the last person we need reinforcing stereotypes! It's no wonder with all these reality shows, especially hers that in a woman's study survey over 50 percent of woman said "Yes" to the question "would you like to end woman's suffrage" it's like this generation has never heard of feminism.

I like this show because I like to make fun of Hets. Womyn with low self-esteem and no self-respect making themselves over to be attractive to mediocre-looking, shallow males. Narcissistic millionaires picking a mate from a herd like I select desserts at a bakery.  Besides being entertaining, I think it really shows the hets at their worst and offers an opportunity for them to see the idiotic error of their ways. 

As for Patti, she's a successful, powerful, out-spoken, strong-willed womon who doesnt follow her own gender role. So really she's just giving the world what it wants. Most het men need those roles and most het womyn comply. Dont kid yourselves...we are not that evolved. I do wish she'd leave Homos out of it.  
But hey, he came to her, right?

I watch her show for the laughs. It gets a bit obnoxious when she starts screaming her patti-isms at her clients.
