Styled Out: Accessorize yourself

Accessories are always the best way to re-vamp and play up a tired ensemble and who better to lead the way than a couple of our favorite ladies?

Rumor had it that Lindsay Lohan was going to be doing a jewelry line with Pascal Mouawad for Bebe. However, Mouawad, the brains behind the Nicole Richie's wildly successful House of Harlow 1960 collection, told E! News that it isn't in the works any more.

"We had spoken about doing a jewelry line, but it's not happening," he tells E! News. "It was a few months back, it was going to be for Bebe, but it never happened."

This could be a good thing, as it was an area that could prove to be a bit taboo for our little celesbian, seeing as how she was recently accused of stealing some high priced jewels from her Emanuel Ungaro fashion show.

Our beloved Shane Kate Moennig, however, has been getting her hands into the accessory business lately by repping for jewelry company Broken English. The company is actually a collaboration of artists, and you can find muted pieces or Avant Garde styles. I love it when something like this comes to my attention because it's awesome when quiet independents get a chance to break through.

/p>

The stuff is simple and wearable — everyday, if you will. Kate's also looking pretty saucy wearing the garb, too.

Um, hi — I'll take 12 Broken English owl necklaces, please — especially if you can promise that they've touched Kate's boob somewhere along the line.

The bracelets are cute too, some are a beaded and a bit too hippie for my taste, but take a look, they might be right up your alley. In my opinion, there's something for everyone here. And let's be real, Kate could basically put on anything and sell it to me. Sigh.

    jewelry

I've never used that much accessories mainly because I never found anything I really liked or that felt like me..until the first Efva Attling Stockholm store opened in my city. I'm so in love with the jewelleries she makes, they look so cool! especially those bracelets and necklaces. What makes it even more cooler is that she's gay :)

Had a look at thier website, they could do with a better website designer...

The pages take ages to load, the navagation is terrible and they seem to have thought of absolutely no accessibility issues. =/

    back to the point

    1. I agree with Emily: Kate could sell me anything. Look at those hands!!!

    2. I like the beeds bracelet very much + the indie concept.

    3. Poor Lindsay can't take a step without being pointed at as a disaster, a thief or a maniac... mh, I don't like it.

    bangles and talismans

Cute pictures.  She can moonlight as a hand model. I do enjoy bangles and talismans, special tokens with whatever meaning you want to give them.  As it says in the little blurb on the website, "Jewelry is a language unto itself, symbolic of moments and milestones whose significance is impossible to put into words. This is the philosophy of Broken English. We view each piece as much more than a beautiful object, whether it’s the literal meaning of an engagement ring, the rarity of an antique charm or the quality of the gemstone a jeweler chooses. Each one comes with a story, which then becomes part of the wearer’s history."

    No thank you.

IMO, there's a difference between "quiet independents" struggling to break through, and indie artists trying to sell a string bracelet for $300. I'll pass and spend my money on more fairly-priced things.
