Now ladies, stop hating! A lot of people didn't know she was bi, myself included, and the article is about her sexuality and the movie Nine. I got an inclination she was interested from the video for "I gotta feeling" which excited me, but I was not sure. Well here's the confirmation. :) 

I love Fergie, got her solo album and all of Black Eyed Peas, and yeah I don't think people should refer to the community as the gays, although Kathy Griffin does it so well, but shes allowed too she has a genuine interest in the community...but yeah still love Fergie tho.

I think everyone has the right to decide what their sexuality means for them, but in my own personal definitions of bisexuality, Fergie is biologically bisexual, but I don't know if she identifies culturally as bisexual?

Just the way she talks about it: girls are people to have "a lot of fun with", which I read as being just the physical side. She doesn't say whether she's has dated women, or thought about the emotional side of being attracted to women, in the past. And she learned "through talking with [her] therapist that it is still cheating even if it's with girls"? If she thought of her attraction to women as equally significant as her attraction to men, she wouldn't need a therapist to help her see that.

The clincher is the way she refers to "the gays" as another group of people, though. If she identified with the gay culture, she'd be one of us, right? Rather than just relating to us.

In a world populated by bisexual celebrities who don't go in for monogamy and/or might be bi for publicity (Tila Tequila, Megan Fox, etc.) it's nice to have a lady celeb who is a pop culture icon, sexy, bi, and monogamous! Don't get me wrong, I'm very supportive of my poly friends, but the sex-crazed, slutty bisexual woman is a stereotype that I come up against so much more than I want to. And I'm not just talking about the assumptions of straight men either.

Well, her Catholic schooteacher parents aren't like any Catholics of that generation (schooteachers especially -- sadly) that I've ever known/met, lol.  That's incredibly liberal that they "taught to accept gays" (kinda sounds funny worded that way for some reason).

Being taught that "ever human is God's child" & to "not judge other people" is pretty standard stuff, be it Catholicism or any other religion or just the everyday secular motto "treat people with respect".  It's too bad that people of certain religions preach one thing but don't have the actions to match.  Sadly, I know a lot of Catholics who will say they "do unto others as they would want others to do unto them" but they're selective about who they're going to treat as they wish to be treated.  Since homosexuality is a HUGE no-no in Catholicism, well...

Younger generations seem to not care so much about church doctrine.  Just my & my friends' experiences.

Fergie comes across as somewhat of a tool in this interview. She makes more than one idotic comment. She certainly doesnt come across well in my eyes.

I liked how honest she was in this article. And I know that some of you are asking why she needed a therapist to tell her cheating with a girl is wrong. Well to some it doesn't seem wrong. Most guys don't care if their girl sees another girl. I dated a guy who didn't care if I saw girls. But, it is cheating. I'm glad she's in Nine, that movie's gonna be ridiculously sexy and I can't wait.
