Angelina Jolie tags in for Charlize Theron

Angelina Jolie is in talks to replace Charlize Theron in Tourist, the remake of the French film Anthony Zimmer. Theron apparently opted out of the film to shoot the Hancock sequel, and, thankfully, Tom Cruise stepped out and was replaced by Sam Worthington.

In a move that shocks us all, Jolie would be playing a female agent. I think it’s high time for Angie to diversify her blockbuster movie roles.

I mean, doesn’t she get sick of wearing tight leather?

And shooting massive machine guns?

Or doing ridiculously cool stunts?

No, I guess not. And I don’t think I’ll ever be sick of it, either. I hope she steps up to the plate, stars in Tourist and gives us gals the only opportunity in our lives to be excited about guns, stylized violence and Angie shooting bad guys.

What do you think of the switch from Theron to Jolie? Are you as excited as I am for the new Angelina action movie?

    She is the most GORGEOUSE WOMEN I have ever seen....bar-none. I love her :) like TTHHISSS MUCH!!! I can't wait to see her in more upcomming roles.

    the woman can do very little wrong in my eyes and I do think she is without question one if not thee most beautiful women to have ever have graced this planet but I'd give anything to see her go back in time to the dark days of Gia and Girl Interrupted just once more. Changeling was close but not quite delved into as much as the former two.

    However since she had said that she will likely just stop making movies whenever she damn feels like it I'll take whatever I can just as long as she's acting!

    Both women are extremely beautiful... Angie just has that THING that makes me LOVE her... *thud* I'm so excited... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do it AJ... for us????

    She's the only actress in the world that I'll watch play the same role over and over again. She's just so talented and beautiful and cuts so well in leather..so so well!

    I love Jolie in action.  So I will be watching...(actually kinda love her in everything)

    But I had to pause and get over the fact that they are making a Hancock sequel, before I could finish reading this article.  I thought the first movie was a huge disappointment, but if they make another I will still have to watch it 'cause I'm a comic book/superhero geek and Theron's in it. Argh

    I'm sure she'll be fine! Although to be honest I was way more excited that a/ they're making a sequel to Hancock and b/ that Charlize Theron is going to be in it! She brings joy to my life. Sexy joy.

    I have seen Wanted 7 times!!! And I loved it every time, and found new Angie moments to appreciate :P She's insanely hot. And way better than Charlize (no offense intended, it's just fact :P).

    I thought I was going to read that Angelina was going to fill in for Charlize in "The Danish Girl."  But...this sounds good too.

     I love Angie, especially sporting awsome outfits and kicking ass...that being said I want to say move over and give someone else a chance. So maybe I would have liked Charlize to step up to the plate, but whose complaining? haha now I get to see two absolute hotties in the movies instead of one.

    That being said...*shudder* handcock sequal? please don't tell me they are going to call it footpussy, athough if they did maybe it would generate more interest lol.

    The only time I don't mind Charlize being replaced is when she's being replaced by Angelina. I adore Charlize Theron, she's drop dead gorgeous and her being multi-lingual makes 100x sexier than she already is. But Hancock sequel? really? why?

    omg was it just me that cried at the end of hancock?? it was an amazing film!!!!

    cant wait fot the sequel!

    I don't seem to care one way or the other if Angelina replaces Charlize in a film or not.  And normally I would be particular between them depending on the movie.  I like both actresses, but I kind of feel like a flip of a coin would work just as well to decide if one replaces the other. 
    Part of that could be since I started watching Police Women of Broward County and discovered Det. Andrea Penoyer, she has captivated my complete attention.  Film or television....if somehow includes Andrea, I'll be fixated, esp. if it involves a lot of action.
    And speaking of action, Angelina, for as naturally beautiful as she is, she is looking way too thin for her build.  At least as far as movie I saw her in which was "Wanted".  The close-up pic you include of her from that film aiming her guy is not attractive to me, nor believable (as in a strong looking woman).  That picture of her, instead, gives me the creeps!  And I hate to say that of Angelina, but it's true.
