Lena Headey breaks down for her new movieDear poster makers of the world, I have a bone to pick with you. Never, ever do this to Lena Headey's head again.
The new poster for Lena's upcoming thriller, The Broken is, um, shattering. Actually, the poster is pretty cool. It's just the unsettling thought of Lena's cracked head that gives me pause. But then I guess that's the point. And just in case the one-sheet wasn't getting the message across, the international trailer amps up the fright factor. Based on that, the only thing I know for sure is that Lena should have her ceiling looked at. In the film she plays a radiologist who, one day while in the car, sees her doppelgänger driving past her. From there, she tries to unravel the mystery, which involves mirrors, blood dripping from ceilings and a nasty gash on her head.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and will be shown as part of the 8 Films to Die For: After Dark Horrorfest III next month. So, does Lena's cracked noggin make you want to see the movie? I'd prefer that she was an an adorable lesbian florist who kicks ass in "Dance Dance Revolution," but I'll take that bathtub scene as a consolation prize. me too
Watch her in Mrs. Dalloway too..
She was superb in Imagine Me and You. She has this special talent that makes you fall in love her effortlessly. You should watch her in the adaptation of Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway.

Damn, I just finished reading The Double by Fyodor Dostoyevsky,
for a project I'm working on about facing fears and mental loss of integrity,
and aggg it was a killer story to read, not "killer" in the "awesome" sense,
no! Killer, as in, I could only read a few pages in one sitting it was so
disturbing and constantly freaking me the f**** out!!!!
Must be in the air!!!!! How disturbing that my top straight girl crush is
playing this sort of creepy role (and her own double)!!!!! Yikes,
I'm not sure if I want to see it.... or if I must, I think I may have too
watch it through my t-shirt and with many visits to the hallway.....
I'll see Lena in any film, rain or shine...
i agree
I would also see lena in any film or tv show she does. I am still waiting for her and Summer to realize they are former lovers from the past. LOL
Ha, LOL! I'm putting my
Ha, LOL! I'm putting my money on Lena and Piper...;)
In the meantime, I'll volunteer to put cold compresses on that nasty gash on Lena's head.
Wah!
Scary.
I like not beeing terrified of my house in the dark, I thing i'll need to stay far away from this movie if I wan't to keep it that way....
Shame...
These movies....
Dont bother me. but then again i am usually cuddled up in my girls arms watching them anyway.
i'll watch it...
I saw the movie...
Actually I saw the movie last January at a french movie festival (didn't get to assist to the movie with the jury, damn it, Kristanna Loken was in it!!) and I found it quite good. The atmosphere of the film is weird, stressing enough. The end is a bit disconcerting... which is good but I would have liked it to be a bit more developped. Just to really put all the pieces together.
It's Lena Headey a good reason enough to go see this movie. But the bonus is it's a good film. So don't hesitate! ;)
"Qui rit le dernier, pense le moins vite" (the one who's laughing last is thinking the slowest)
now reading what booga just said
I am sure Jessi and I are going to be in line to see this movie being she has a huge crush on Kristanna.
lol sorry i was talking
lol sorry i was talking about the jury... Kristanna Loken was in the jury not the movie.
Sorry 'bout that! :p
"Qui rit le dernier, pense le moins vite" (the one who's laughing last is thinking the slowest)
hhhmmmm
now i wont tell her. LOL
I wish I was the water in the tub
The trailer looks interesting, but I don't know if I'm going to see the movie in the theatre. I'd probably wait till it's released on dvd... :p

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." (Dr. Seuss)
Awesome
Thanks for pointing me to this!
Love Lena so i'll def be seeing it at the cinema, plus I love thrillers and twists :D
awesome trailer
oooh the atmosphere from the trailer feels a little bit like the machinist.... i'm probably completely wrong, but i do like the machinist, so that's promising! really want to see this. love scary films, love lena headey :D
I'll watch it 'cause Lena
I'll watch it 'cause Lena is in it, like most of you. I'm not a lover of horror movies, but I don't hate them.
lena
No..yes
Looks...
Okay, I guess. I'd go watch it if nothing else looked more interesting.
The only thing bothering me was the bad French at the beginning : apres cashback le rêve devient cauchemar? I know it's the French trailer, but that's even less of an excuse for the missing words/sense. What. Just, what.
7/10... pretty good
I'm a huge fan of horror, and Bloody Disgusting gave this film 7/10 (which is great for a horror movie). They said throughout it's perfect with an amazing score, lighting effects, etc. but the ending is complete poop that it will piss off 99% of the people watching it. In other words, great film ruined by the ending.
I'm glad to see Lena in horror - I think it suits her well!
PLUS THAT POSTER IS AMAZING!
Is that nipple?
poster
That poster is genius, the photographic geek in me won't let me stop staring at it.
Wow. Creepy trailer. I want
i saw it...
i saw the trailer and i was really excited to watch it at the Fantasy Film Festival in Frankfurt but it was a disappointment actually. The story was pretty choppy at best. Sorry Lena, I really wanted to like it. I even dragged all my friends along and everyone of us came out confused.
