She was the first actress to made me realize I like women.. I know what you mean about making your knees feel weak.. I just hope her movie opens well for her.. the plot seems interesting.. and her hair looks awesome, reminds me of how she used to dress when she did Freaky Friday ;]

I've had a hugeass crush on Jodie ever since I was 11 or 12 years old - is when I saw her in Taxi Driver (and it was okay for me drool over "Iris"). The rest is history.

She's smart as hell, she's witty and funny, and she's sexy like it's nobody's business. She's like wine - the older she gets the better she looks... In my eyes, there's nothing she could possibly do wrong, everything she touches turns to gold.

You're right! When Jodie talks, we listen. Especially if she happens to do it in French.

I've only recently jumped on the Jodie bandwagon, and I've got to say, it's been a thrilling ride. My only regret is feeling like I was late to the party.

She doesn't do anything for me except that she's a pretty good actress ... but that's what's important right ?

 What is there about her not to like? The brilliance? The elegance of her features? That she speaks French like a native? That accent? That voice? That she knows how to keep enough of herself tucked away so that the celebrity machine never manages to crush her?

was the movie I remember her from.  That, and "The Little Girl Down the Lane" which I think also had Martin Sheen.

I remember liking her but not knowing why.  And feeling really uncomfortable after watching "Candleshoe" with my cousin (my aunt took us to see it at the show) when my aunt said I reminded her of the girl in the movie.

This film looks intriguing as does most of Jodie's films.  I think many of us will connect with the "dark thoughts" her character entertains.  I will see this one in the theater.

I'm hoping that the Brave One will be released in the theatres here and won't go straight to DVD... I'd love to see her new movie on the big screen.

But I agree with everything that was said in this story. Seriously. Jodie Foster ... she does movies rarely but when she does, I'm there. I don't care what it is, it's always something interesting and yeah. Ever since Silence of the Lambs, I've been a HUGE fan of hers. I still love her best in Contact though mainly because that was the best thing. Carl Sagan's Contact is my favorite book so her starring as Ellie was a dream come true. And really, if you just ignore Matthew McCounaughey, it's perfect :D

I love how GAY she is even without saying anything. That's why I feel like she doesn't really have to admit it. Cause come on. She's such a lezzie ;)

If you guys have a chance to see her Actor's Studio interview with James Lipton, definitely watch it. Jodie telling her favorite curse word alone makes it worth while :D

And in that she also says that she'd hate to be a personal shopper because she hates shopping. She said it's like sticking pins in her eyes or something like that.

... Are we living in????! Sorry. but if you have to use another language, please try to do it in a correct way... or make it clear that it is the use of it from like 50 years ago. It's Frau... not Fräulein! Geez, ...and I thought the '70's are over... that we still have to battle that one... :)

Especially in a thread that deals with independent women at least we (lesbians/bi's) should address them correctly and not insult them (which it is in today's usage. -- comparable to 'girlie' instead of 'girl' or 'missy' instead of 'miss'---). Sorry, if that sounds harsh, but the usage of Fräulein annoys me (and the overwhelming majority of women I know) to no end.

Jodie Foster is so awesome .. and SO wonderfully gay. i remember one time she was on Jay Leno and he asked her where she liked to go shopping and she was like "uhh .. Target?" and then he asked her what she liked to buy there and she was like "uhh .. athletic gear?" lol.

i'm really glad she wears more butch street clothes in her new movie, she looks better in that stuff - in my opinion.

the best thing about Jodie though is her voice! hands down, no argument. i remember when i was in high school and i kept going to see Contact over and over and over, and i couldn't quite figure out why i liked it so much. i was a big science and sci-fi fan .. and i'd read Carl Sagan's novel and liked it a lot, but there was more to it than that .. it took me several years to realize that no on says '4.4623 gigahertz' quite like Jodie.
