Emmy's funny ladies chat about fans, fame and Matt DamonWhen a group of talented, smart, funny women get together, the best thing an observer can do is simple: shut up and laugh.
So that’s exactly what I suggest we do as freshly Emmy-nominated stars Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation, nominated for Saturday Night Live) and Sarah Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program) came together for a roundtable hosted by The Hollywood Reporter. [Note: Some NSFW language ahead.] Note to Self: Ixnay on Matt Damon and get your own damn dime bag. The interchanges were fresh, frank, foul-mouthed and very funny. And what I love most is just their interactions, like then they talk about Dreyfus being 48. The Hollywood Reporter has more video, largely short two-at-a-time interviews that are equally a hoot. I know I’ll be first in line to see the upcoming Poehler and Dreyfus lesbian epic, Me Hungry.
The printed Q&A had some tidbits not in the video. Like, Parker doesn’t know the difference between single- and multi-camera shows (“What the f--k is a single-camera comedy?”) and the Applegate is amazed by HD TV (“Oh God, with HD, it's so crisp you really do see everything. You can actually see into your brain.”) Oh, ladies, I’m just going to shut up now and bask in your funny. Submitted by on July 22, 2009 - 5:00pm. |

I love Amy's laugh! Hahaha.
The whole thing was completely hilarious.
Fabulous!
Awww, Christina Applegate is as cute as a button. She's so quiet and almost shy. I just want to give her a big bear hug.
Amy Poehler has the greatest laugh also.
