Indeed, the woman-centeredness of this episode made it hard not to like. I loved the new character, Kendra Shaw, and Michelle Forbes kicks so much ass as an actor, but I had mixed feelings overall. I'll be interested to see what other AfterEllen types think, since I mostly have only straight guys to discuss it with. So everybody please watch!!

i really love this show, pity il probably only see this episode next year coz we get every thing 2 million years later ( yes i tend to exaggarate at times). and how hoott is katee sackhoff!!!

I just watched Razor.  When I first put it in, all I could think was - Wow.. have I missed this show.  Even watching the opening credits made me smile.   I missed the music, the characters, the storyline and the intensity.

Razor was really interesting.  No spoilers here either!  But I really liked how woman-centric this was.  I enjoyed the backstories. I can't really saw much more without spoiling!

I did notice maybe an Aliens reference... I could have sworn the whiney guy was named Hudson.. just like in Aliens...  I could be hallucinating though :-D

Words can't express how excited I am at this movie - I was so close to flying to NY just to see the movie in a theatre before it airs! If it weren't for an impending trip to Austin, I would have.

I love that powerful women in BSG are just a given - equality is never a big deal, it just is.

And that first picture up there of Katee ....... omfg.

Seriously. I am so rarely truly awed by something, but this...this was like a slap of awesomeness in the face.

I don't think I can even describe the absolute glee I felt during the montage of scenes of the episode to come--the "HUH!" noise followed by the super intense music gets me so pumped up every time. And my God, did they create an incredible new character! Kendra Shaw was brilliant, Cain was terrifying, and Number Six/Gina was so creepy ("In the end, we're all just human.") that I really enjoyed the flashbacks a lot more than the present-day storyline that was supposed to offer us clues for the fourth season.

Isn't there any way they can resurrect Cain? Maybe the Earthlings will have the technology to make her bionic or something.

these are such complicated, multifaceted, human characters. i love them. tv that is this good is so rare. tv with women characters like these is so rare. i'm really looking forward to razor and to the fourth season.

I went to one of the previews, and it definitely delievered. Some random notes:

Starbuck is fraking ripped.

The collective nerdgasm that overtook the entire audience at a certain point (you'll know what it is) was hillarious.

Do you have to have watched season 3 to follow Razor?  I still haven't seen season 3 (but I will as soon as I can get my hands on the DVDs).

As long as you've seen Season 2, you're golden. The bulk of the story takes place between seasons 2 and 3.

You may wanna watch Resurrection Ship 1 and 2 (2x11 2x12) again just to remind yourself of all the craziness that ensued after the Galactica and Pegasus leaders stepped all over each other's toes.  And Razor was awesome! Such a fantastic addition to the series, plus a wonderful insight into Admiral Cain and what made her so brutal (in lack of better world) when it came to leadership after the Cylon attack on the Colonies. Imagine finding out that the woman you love (allow me the liberty of making this a femslash fangirl moment) turns out to be one of the evil machines that are responsible for wiping out 99 percent of your civilization? I'd say it would frack you up real good. Especially if you were an Admiral of the Colonial Fleet. At least, that's my assessment.

omg is that an aussie accent i detect on this new character, Shaw? and no matter how many times i see that pic (many of those times on here) of starbuck i cant help but stop and drool add that to the lesbian storyline (as brief, though pivotal, as it may be) and colour me excited!
