The Weekly Geek: Thoughts on "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Maxim" magazine

I also have the mindset of teenage boy...I saw Transformers a couple of days ago and thought it rocked...more Transformers, huge explosions and Megan Fox - am very easily pleased. Most reviews have scorned the 2.5 hour running time...I just thought I was getting more for my money! Seriously, will sit in a movie theatre all day if explosions and hot chicks are on offer!

Some people need to learn to check their minds in at the door to the movie. I've got that down to a fine art.

Haha whenever I see Maxim stuff on AE it just reminds me of Dorothy Snarker's rant in 2007 about LaLohan taking the top spot and wore a rainbow dress to the event for it and then the subsequent creation of the AE Hot100 to counter it. It was just so ironic really.

But anyway, back to the article. In Sociology class one of my classmates did the depiction of women and covered Maxim and then before you know it all the (to my knowledge) straight girls were like, 'OMG that chick's a baaaabe'. I have to admit though, from the little I've seen of men's magazines Maxim is one of the ahem classiest if I can say that..

I can't bear to even look at the covers of mags like Stuff and Nuts and Zoo Weekly. Every woman on those ones has fake breasts or there's a salacious girl-on-girl teaser cover like 'Your ultimate fantasy: Jade and Natalie TOGETHER'

The movie lists are fine.  

OH MY DAYS megan fox gotta be the hottest women i have ever seen!........................hate her makes me speechless everytime lol

Okay, so I Kinda knew what I was getting myself into when I bought the ticket. The usual explosions, Megan Fox running in Slow Motion, Cheesy one-liners, Megan Fox running in Slow Motion, Badly thought out side kicks .I'm not saying the thought of Megan Fox running in slow motion isn't appealing(Shame when she opens her Word Hole).But The film is called "Revenge of the Fallen". I was still waiting for the "Revenge" part to kick in when the Ushers were sweeping the stale Popcorn, and smuggled in sweet wrappers up, and telling me that I have to leave as the next showing was about to start. I mean at least in Episode 3 (which was still bad), when Anakin went over to the Dark side. He followed through an opened up a can a Whoop Ass and almost wiped out the Jedi.

But the thing that bugged me more than anything was the way everyone looked as though they hadn't bathed in weeks. Like the spray tan guy went really over board, or everyone was about to go into chronic Liver failure.

I was hoping they might be able to save my childhood heroes in the sequel, but oh how I was wrong. Next thing I know there'll be a Live action movie of the Visionaries ,Ulysses 31, and God forbid the Care Bears,Rainbow Brite and My little pony.

I dread to think what they have already done G.I. Joe (out this summer) and the Thunder Cats (I hear is going into production)

So be warned "Transformers" is definitely NOT "More than meets the eye"

I can't stand her. I gave her a fair chance, though. She was on the cover of my Entertainment Weekly recently. I didn't know anything about her, so I was like, "Oh, ok, I'll read this!" and the interview was...well, she's not the brightest bulb. Sounds like she doesn't have the greatest personality, either...

Sorry, I sound like such an 80 year-old, haha.

 The only action movie I'm a complete nerd with lately is the Dark Knight.. I own the soundtrack to it.. and I saw it in theaters 5 times.. and at home like 5 other times..

The only other action-ish movies that I could recite line for line scene for scene is Goodfellas.

The only reason I will see Transformers is because of Megan. She is just divine.

the inside cover says that Olivia Wilde plays the hottest "Sodomite"...

That bothered me, because of the connotations that term carries.

 Olivia Wilde is freaking hot though 

Gosh, I am soooo jealous of those of you who've watched it! Anyways, whoever's watched it, was the Decepticon Barricade (the pollice car) in this one??? I checked out the imdb.com page and it's not listed... :(

The more she talks the more she turns me off. When I first saw her on Transformers, I thought she was a total babe. Then I read a few interviews and my salivating quickly became a dumbfounded and rather disappointed, "Oh...".

I get it, Megan. I really do. You shouldn't have to prove that you're not stupid. Fine. Learn a little tact though! Silence really is golden.

i enjoyed the movie and megan fox was HOTT!!!!,she was definetely the cream on the cake when it came to transformers,the movie was great,action,action and megan fox...now thats a great combination
