Porn, politics and Scarlett Johansson

If that title doesn't get your attention, I don't know what will.

In a recent interview with pr.com, adult film star, best-selling author and self-made millionaire Jenna Jameson threw her, uh, support behind Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. Just what every politician covets: an endorsement from a porn star.

"I love Hillary ... I think that it would be a step in the right direction for our country, and there would be less focus on war and more focus on bettering society," Jameson said, without a shred of irony.

(I absolutely love it when celebrities offer their political opinions. My favorite example of the cult of celebrity was when Jessica Lange, Jane Fonda and Sissy Spacek testified before a congressional panel about the plight of the American farmer in 1985, being such experts, having all played the role of a farmer's wife at some point.)

Anyway, back to Jenna: She built an empire for herself called Club Jenna, and, as a bisexual, has often stated that the best relationship of her life was with fellow actress Nikki Tyler. Jameson is planning to further her crossover into mainstream entertainment with a film version of her autobiography, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale. The book spent six weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, and Jameson is in negotiations with Universal to bring her story to the big screen.

The actress cum media mogul (sorry, couldn't resist) also said she'd like to see Scarlett Johansson play her in the film: "She's number one on the list ... I think she's amazing, and she reminds me of myself when I was young."

No word on who's going to play Nikki Tyler, but I'd love to see those auditions.
