see for every confused viewer phoning in to complain about the subtext - there was another like "omg the tv thinks so too?! i'm not crazy!"

i so wish this has happened

 that's lame to be fired for doing that.

but you have to admit that jorja fox and marg helgenberger are hot....even hotter if they were together.lol

that's why she went into being a trainer the BOObies! why didn't i think of that during career day in high school. talk about missed opportunities. Great article!

OMG! I just can't stop laughing! I am a huge fan of satire in general, but that has to be about the funniest thing ever!

In a strange kind of way, its sad that we have to use so much subtext because there is NO representation out there for us, and thus sad that this joke could be made in the first place, but, anyway, now I'm down off my soapbox I will continue with the LMAO!!!

It was always obvious to me that there was definite chemistry between Marg & Jorja! There should have been no subtext needed. LOL  I liked the fact that they were used as examples for the story. *thumbs up*

Oh, this is just fantastic, especially for me because I am a captioner, and a lesbian, and I have to admit in my head I actually sometimes caption subtext.

of using  the wrong word, but having it still kinda makes sense. I'm guessing you meant that the re runs of  xena exacerbated her condition... However anyone who suffered from such a malady would likely be exasperated by  the  lack of acknowledgment  of the subtext as well.

Moo and moot are another favorite. A moo point is the opinion of a cow, and pretty much moot.

I had to join AE specifically to comment on this post after my friend shared it with me. This was HILARIOUS because I actually am a gay closed captioner, and I can't tell you how many times I wish I could point out the lesbo subtext in the shows I work on! Usually at work I'm more tempted to make people I don't like seem even more stupid by emphasising it when they mispronounce a word or can't speak proper English.

 My coworkers thought this was great also :)

DVD extras should start having lesbian subtext as a subtitle option, it'd be fab. I love CSI and often think Sarah seems a tad gay sometimes. I think I have the lesbian subtext disability too. Maybe I'm wrong about the CSI gals and Terminator's Sarah Connor (though the vests tell a different story). But I am certain about the Buffy/Faith, Serena/Blair subtext.

Haha this is funny. I LOVE CSI and Marg and Jorja are hot, and yeah they have chemistry but it won't ever be taken into a sexual realm, if it was it would totally ruin the shows relationship set up... but would be interesting ;)
