Dinah's "L Word" fashion show

As midnight approached on Saturday night at The L Word Fashion Show in Palm Springs, the electricity grew palpable, the crowd rushed the stage, and just as the lights went down, someone spilled beer all over my girlfriend's sexy new heels.

Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig stepped out onto the stage and the 500 or so lesbians, who a mere hour ago were blithely drinking and mingling, completely lost their minds.

They didn't need to do much to whip the room into a frenzy, so they didn't. Leisha and Kate came out, looked awesome, said a total of ten words, and ran off stage.

That's it? That was what I body-checked a Shane-wannabe who was trying to steal our spot at the stage's edge for?

Real runway models Jenny Shimizu and Megan Morris were joined by actresses such as Alexandra Hedison and Michelle Wolff from Dante's Cove.

I think it's safe to say no one was looking at the clothes.

    That Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig ran off the stage so all the drunk, crazy, star-stuck, girl lovers, didn't run on it. Ha, sounds like a good time, but if beer ever got near my wardrobe, there would be a lipstick lesbian vs. butch girl fight.  -Rachel

    A lipstick lesbian vs. butch girl fight? I don't really understand what you're implying...do only lipstick lesbians drink beer? Only butch girls? Do only lipstick lesbians buy nice foot-ware or deserve to be fought? Only butch girls?

    I'm a beer fan and have been called a "lipstick lez" many a time. I feel bad about the shoes and all but where exactly are you getting your "contestants" from?

    Please don't laugh at me but why is the Dinah Shore event called Dinah Shore?
    Could someone please enlighten me? :)

    Can someone help me here?  This poor child doesn't know why the Dinah Shore event is called the Dinah Shore!!  I now have a final confirmation that I am old as hell.  Geez!!!  I don't know what else to say.

    Don't fret, age has nothing to do about it! I'm fairly new to all of this and I guess it doesn't help that I was brought up in Sweden.
    I can't keep up with everything you know ;)

    I wish I had gotten to see the L Word girls even if it was for three seconds before they ran off stage. Any words from Leisha Hailey are music to my ears!

    ze7en - back in the day, a cast of thousands went to Palm Springs to watch women play golf. The tournament was named the Dinah Shore Golf Championship at the time. Things evolved over the years and before you could say "Rosie Jones", a huge lesbian party was under way! Hope that helps. :)

    So is it safe to say that Megan is no longer with her girlfriend( the one she was with during her ANTM stint) ?  Or did she get her girl's permission? lol...i'm gonna say no to the latter.
