Miss Piggy goes Gaga
We knew that admittedly kinky Lady Gaga has no qualms about bringing a green puppet date to the VMAs, but now she may transform into a muppet herself.

The crazy yet fabulous Miss Piggy is set to star alongside long time crush, boyfriend, love interest Kermit the Frog, who escorted and smooched Gaga herself on the red carpet. Normally Miss Piggy would throw a fit in the face of such infidelity, but it seems she may have a no-so-secret human alter ego in Lady Gaga. In the upcoming film, The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made, the wildly boisterous Frank Oz oinker will be Lady Gaga–inspired.

How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel penned the script and reportedly "envisions the modern Miss Piggy living indulgently and arty abroad." Said a source:
Miss Piggy ends up becoming like a Lady Gaga–esque character living in Europe. Kermit ends up being destitute and the main characters find him living in squalor.
While one way for the retired stars to escape their washed up poverty is to turn themselves into fashion garments the likes of only Lady Gaga would wear, I’m hoping that a Gaga cameo does not involve the pinning of Kermie and his brethren to her dress a la her outfit on German television in July.

Instead, I fully expect the old crew to pull out a plethora of star studded cameos as they organized a telethon to benefit the historic Muppet theater that an evil oil baron is intent on razing. And if any overindulgent, glamorous and flamboyant superhero could take on the challenge would it not be a Miss Piggy/Lady Gaga synergy?
The muppets have entranced adults and children alike for more than there decades and, though Segel is attempting to bring these little monsters into a more contemporary vision, it is also the classic charm of Gonzo, Fozzie, and the rest of the misfit gang that remains charming and charismatic, no matter what generation’s folly they follow.
An early script reader said of the film:
...a solid attempt at recapturing what made The Muppet Show and the first two Muppet movies so great, but The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time is no Great Muppet Caper — Caper being to the first Muppets film, what The Empire Strikes Back is to Star Wars — but it is a fresh, younger approach. Stoller and Segel have fun with the characters, are aware of what made the Muppet early years so great (winks to the audience, friendly musical numbers, single gag repetition, friendship and togetherness being the answer to everything), and hit the mark 65% of the time.

And will this musical’s playlist also live up to the hype? Lets just hope Flight of the Conchords co-creator James Bobin, who is rumored to be directing the film, incorporates both indie rock humor and Gaga-esque outrageous pop into the muppets hearltfelt serenades.

I LOVE THAT KERMIT DRESS.
I LOVE THAT KERMIT DRESS. Seriously, it's better than life.

Yay! Another muppet movie!
err
the piggy cleavage is a little disturbing.
Reading is Fundamental
Totally weird.
It's from an old calendar
The photo is from a 1981 Miss Piggy calendar where every month had her on the cover of a different magazine. The featured articles for the Cosmo issue included, "How to Keep from Having Crumbs in Your Bed" and "Quiz: Are You Too Intelligent to be Reading a Magazine Like This?" The cleavage made much more sense in context.
^ ditto
i'm not sure why
but i love ms. piggy's outfit in that first pic. i feel like she rocked it better than gaga.
and now i feel weird for thinking of a puppet as fashionable.
That is Gaga in the first picture...
See that human arm sticking out on the left? Gaga is dressed as Miss Piggy, not vice versa. Look a little closer next time.
I think the Muppets are quite fabulous on their own. They don't need to dress up or imitate any famous people. They were around long before Gaga was even born! If anything, Gaga should be imitating the Muppets, not the other way around. But, that "Dead Kermits" dress was disgusting and disrespectful. Who dresses this woman? Does she even look in the mirror before she leaves the house?
oh, yeah
