RachelWatch: Rachel and Ana Marie Cox on Losing It

Ana Marie Cox’s expected first shot at guest-hosting TRMS was unfortunately canceled on Friday. As a small comfort, here’s a past favorite of Rachel and Ms. Cox discussing Sarah Palin’s contribution to the McCain Campaign.

Thanks to @triumph68 for pointing me at the clip.

    AMC

I'm rarely happy to see a guest host on TRMS as there are so few people that can substitute for the real deal, but I actually would have tuned in for Ana Marie Cox.  She's always so pithy.  The fact that she's cute doesn't hurt either.  Not that looks matter in the very serious world of broadcast journalism/political commentary mind you.  Just saying.

    More Video

I think this program would interest other Rachel fans:

Blueprint for Accountability: Working the Dark Side

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow launched Culture Project's "Blueprint for Accountability" series on May 31 with a gripping evening on accountability and the U.S. policy of torture in the “War on Terror.” This first episode is titled "Working The Dark Side."

If you have time to kill, it's very interesting and educational to watch!

    Me too :-)

I would also watch for Ana Marie :-).  She cracks me up.

I also think it's funny how big of a kick Rachel seems to get out of mentioning that AMC writes articles for Playboy. lolz.

    hhmm...

Is it just me or is there a bit of chemistry going on between Rachel and Ana Marie?? Maybe my radar is just too sensitive.

    totally!!!!

ever since the first time I saw them together in the show they do look like there is a LOT of chemistry, sadly they are both taken and I think shes straight right?.

-sighs- ...We can dream though, they are both hot and young, they would make a super couple!.

Yup, AnaMarie Cox is straight and married, but their banter back and forth is definitely fun to watch.  Can't wait for Rachel tonight.  Need my fix!

    I remember that one.. Always

I remember that one.. Always good but lacks the special something it now has when Rachel introduces Ana Marie, and emphasises the Playboy part :p

    I want my AMC!!!

I was so disappointed that MSNBC decided to air yet more Michael Jackson filler instead of giving us AMC's first shot at guest hosting.

You know how passionate fans will sometimes bombard a network with tons of something to make a point about just how much they love their show? I guess the most recent example involved Subway and _Chuck_....

Well, I've been daydreaming about what sort of a protest item would go with AMC, and I think I've got it: the version of the "mudflap girl" that's reading a book! (An air-freshener with that design is currently being featured in the promos for the series version of _10 Things I Hate About You_.)

Maybe Rachel will have her on tonight to talk about her article on DADT in the context of tonight's shindig at the White House! Btw, has anyone else read her _Playboy_ piece?
