Anne Hathaway to get smart. The actress has signed on to star in the new big-screen version of the popular 1960s small-screen series
Get Smart. Anne will play Agent 99 opposite
Steve Carell's secret agent Maxwell Smart.

Alan Arkin will play the chief of CONTROL, the organization that fights the evil forces of KAOS, and
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and
Terrence Stamp will also star. But enough about them -- back to Anne. In the series, Agent 99 was the competent romantic foil to Maxwell Smart's bumbling lead. And she got to wear an assortment of kicky trench coats and stylish costumes. I say, smart move.
