“Bitch Slap” hits us with more goodies in its second trailer

Breasts! Nuns! Strippers! Guns! Wait, sorry, I feel a little woozy after watching the new trailer for Bitch Slap. Please distract yourself with this shot of the women of Bitch Slap pouring water on each other so you can feel as woozy as I do.

Since our first breathless reporting on what is shaping up to be the mother of all post-modern B-movie exploitation flicks back in August, the ladies (and gentlemen — but let’s face it we just care about the ladies) of Bitch Slap have released a new red-band trailer (for mature audiences) with more fights, explosions and cleavage than you can shake a stick at.

The new trailer incorporates more of the film’s visual effects and green-screen footage resulting in a film that looks like a cross between Sin City, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kil!l and The Flying Nun. It also introduces the film’s three leading ladies: The Sexbomb Hel (Erin Cummings), The Psycho-Slut Camero (America Olivo) and The Stripper Trixie (Julia Voth).

While the National Organization for Women might not rush out to give the film its “Feminists of the Year” plaque just yet, the nod-and-a-wink exploitation in the movie seems to come from a place of female strength (and overall sexiness). So instead of wagging my angry women’s study minor finger at it, I’m busy just trying to roll back my tongue into my mouth. What? I’m only human.

The spot also gives us our first glimpse of Lucy Lawless and RenĂ©e O’Connor (that’s Xena and Gabrielle, to the rest of us) as Mother Superior and Sister Batrill. Wow, do all nuns wear that underneath their habits? If so, I suddenly feel like finding religion.

Erin, who was nice enough to write and give us a shout out after the first trailer, sent me another email updating progress on the film. In short, she thinks we’ll like it. I’m inclined to agree.

I’ve seen the rough cut of the film and it’s BREATHTAKING. I know that your readers will love the roller-coaster thrill ride that this film will take them on. As for the sex scene between me and Julia Voth… no one will be complaining that it’s too short! It goes on…. and on…. and on… and it’s pretty hot.

She also said to look for the three ladies in the February Maxim UK. The issue hits (and no doubt will subsequently scorch) newsstands in December. If you just can’t wait to see more, be sure to catch Erin on an episode of the CBS crime drama Cold Case at 9 p.m. this Sunday. She plays a 50s pin-up who gets shot through the heart. Pin-up? Sure. Bad ass? You betcha.

So, if you’ve regained feeling through your central nervous system, please feel free to express your thoughts in the comments. Or, you know, just make monosyllabic sounds and punch random letter on your keyboard – whatever you feel up to.
