SHE DID HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMAN
This season, the cast of BET’s reality television show College Hill Interns, about "10 college students living in a new city, hanging out in their new digs, and most importantly, working at their new and exciting summer jobs," includes Kathy, an out lesbian.
According to the BET press release, the contestants "will receive the opportunity of a lifetime to intern for some of the world’s biggest companies in the windy city of Chicago." We’re also promised that "As the competition heats up during the day, the drama will only get hotter at night."
In her BET bio, Kathy, a 20-year-old Acting/Theater major at Illinois State University, is asked a series of questions designed to reveal her character. After the obligatory inquiries about career goals and mentors, we cut to the good stuff (i.e., her love life).
DO YOU HAVE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER?
Yes … for three years. I see us being together for life.
HOW IMPORTANT IS SEX TO YOU?
Sex is not that important. Don’t get me wrong. The best sex is true sex that is not planned. Our last sex wasn’t planned. It was great, but it’s not necessary. If my boo said she didn’t want to have sex, I would be okay.
Read Kathy’s full bio (which introduces her with the headline "MEET KATHY: Sorry, Fellas. She’s not interested") here.
Two episodes of the six-episode series have already aired, so run, don’t walk, to your TiVo and be sure you catch the remaining four! (Thanks, sloane, for the tip!)
ALL OF THIS AND SHE’S A DRUMMER TOO?
A reader (Thanks, onemorehour!) recently tipped us off to a report that Lani Billard, who played the character Busy on the popular Canadian children’s TV show Ready or Not from 1993–97, identifies as a lesbian on her Facebook.com account.
Here’s a picture of Lani then (she’s the one on the left):
And here’s Lani now:
According to Facebook.com, Lani is now an animal and human reiki practitioner who enjoys watching Grey’s Anatomy and The L Word.
Animal healer? Check. L Word fan? Check. Short hair? Check. But I can’t tell if she’s muscular or has tattoos. Ergo, can we really be sure that she’s a lesbian?
