Jennifer Beals has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award, for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. And that’s for season 3 of The L Word, in which she didn’t even really get to do much. Admittedly, her screaming-after-the-silent-retreat scene was enjoyable. Other nominees include pretty much anyone who had anything to do with Dreamgirls, as well as America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Also? Tichina Arnold, who plays Rochelle (the mom) on Everybody Hates Chris. If you haven’t seen Everybody Hates Chris, give it a look sometime. Rochelle rocks. “If I ever catch any of y’all spray-paintin’ on anybody’s wall, I’ll stick my foot so far up your behind that you’ll have toes for teeth!”
