Work Out: Recaps: Episode 106

Jackie works with Felicia Arlin Zen takes to the runway Mimi throws a glass at Jackie

Jackie and Mimi are standing around in Jackie's kitchen. In the bedroom, Mimi the Mandible bit Jackie's hand so hard it easily could have drawn blood. Mimi says: “Lemme see. Can I see?” Like she really cares. Jackie shows Mimi her hand. Mimi dismisses the wound, saying, “It's not that bad.”

Jackie says, still angry, “It [expletive] hurts.” I swear, just once I'd like to see Jackie bite Mimi.

Not that she needs a reason, but Mimi's mad. She found out that Jackie went on a few dates. We don't know how she found out, but knowing these two, Jackie was probably the one who told her.

Jackie says: “If I was looking for someone, I damn well would find them.”

Mimi says coldly, “Do you wanna talk about something interesting, 'cause I'm going to fall asleep.”

Jackie snaps back: “Well, then, what do you want to talk about? You're the one that's got hostile shoved up her ass. I'm trying to speak with you about what the [expletive] is the matter with you.”

Mimi says with a totally straight face: “There's nothing the matter with me, baby. I love you.” Yeah, there's nothing wrong with you — nothing a hostilectomy wouldn't cure.

Jackie's not buying the act. “Oh, yeah, you love me,” she replies sarcastically. She tells us: “I'm the driving force of this relationship. I don't have much more gas to drive.” At today's prices, I can't see how she can afford to keep going, especially since she's just going in circles. It's time to pull over, girls.

Jackie has a meeting with a fashion designer from New York named Stephen Lieberman. Ever the entrepreneur, she's looking to brand herself with a clothing line that ties into her gym. Branding is something Mimi would approve of, but not the way Jackie means it.

Stephen looks at the shirts Jackie already has — they're the “Lift” shirts that the trainers have been wearing all through the series. The design includes a woman on the back with angel wings. Jackie explains, “I always have to have a hot chick in it.”

Stephen says, “I'm OK with that.” Me, too.

The concept is multifunctional fashion that works in and out of the gym. My idea of multifunctional clothing is more along the line of bras that support you but easily fit in your pocket when driving home at 4 a.m.

Jackie holds up a racer-back tank top with a V-neck and says, “What I love on a woman is this.” They decide to have some samples made of Jackie's designs. Since Stephen is from New York, he plans to hook Jackie up with an L.A.-based designer. Why is he even there, then?
