Who would do such a thing?  Madison.  Ashley tracks down an old picture of them together, and it is clearly the one Madison cropped and pasted onto the porn star’s body.  Ashley and Madison once were friends, but it all ended when Ashley and Aiden started dating.  Spencer is appalled, but then decides that what they need to remedy the situation is a little Photoshop revenge.

Back at the beach, Clay’s date is heating up and the condom Glenn gave him falls out of his pocket.  Chelsea teases him about it, but Clay confesses that it wasn’t his idea, and that he is a virgin.  She wants to know why, and he says, “Maybe I haven’t met a special enough person.”  She counters, “Maybe one day you’ll think that I’m that special person.”  Finally! Some lesbian romance!

But the real treat in tonight’s episode is when Ashley tapes her own “first time” story at Spencer’s house.  First time with a GIRL, that is. 

Ashley is sprawled across the bed, with her head at the bottom of the mattress as she talks into the camera. She faces the television monitor which broadcasts the image of her taping herself. Spencer sits behind her at the top of the bed, stealing shy glances at the monitor as Ashley tells her story. 

“My first time with a girl was amazing.  My date—a guy—left and took off with some other girl, and just left me completely stranded.  And this girl who had worked the door offered me a ride.  We ended up at her place on Beachwood Canyon. I thought it was just going to be an experiment. But it was that moment between knowing what you wanted and feeling safe enough to go there. She made it gentle, sweet, hot, fun and just sensual. I hope I can do that for someone else someday.”

Cut to Spencer, whose usually beatific blue eyes have gone all dark and smoky as she listens to Ashley’s story.  She goes to the television set and turns off the monitor at the end of Ashley’s monologue, and for a moment the two lock eyes and stare at each other in silence.

The next day, Ashley and Spencer stand outside the cafeteria and admire their handiwork—a life size cardboard cut-out of a severely Photoshop-ed Madison.  The other students laugh as Madison rips it to shreds, and even that jackass Glenn is laughing.  Nice boyfriend, Madison!

In the final scene of the show, we see Spencer in the black and white hues of Ashley’s film, telling her first time story.  The boy was cute and they thought they were in love, “I mean, aren’t you supposed to be if you go all the way?”  Cut to Ashley. She is all alone at her house, watching this pre-recorded video of Spencer.

The boy lived on a farm and Spencer went with him to the family barn to have sex.  Her story is nothing like Ashley’s however.  The sex was over almost as soon as it started, and Spencer admits that she cried afterwards.

She’s not sure if she cried because she was happy, sad, or relieved.  All she knows is that it wasn’t the grand romantic experience she had always dreamed it would be.  She tells the camera that she wishes she could have another first time, one that would be special after all.  Then she gazes into the camera—held by Ashley, don’t forget—with an open, wanting expression.

Allrighty then! Looks like they might be going down Gay Spencer Avenue a little sooner than I would have thought!  In fact, the teaser for the next episode shows Spencer and Ashley sunning themselves on the beach together as Spencer tells her, “I think I like girls.” 

Yeah, I’ve already cancelled my plans for next Friday night too.
