AE:
So, is there anything you can say about what’s in store
for Liz this season?
RM: Well, I think she does find love. Or, if not
love, then something very close to it. And maybe it will become
love. I don’t mean to have it so cloaked, but with Ryan
[Murphy] as the creator, we only know things one second before
you guys do.
AE:
Oh, really?
RM:
Yeah. So, I know what’s happened in the past, but what
happens in the future I only have little inklings of as well.
So,
what I’ll tell you is this: I’ve been working
out a lot.
AE:
Yeah?
RM: In
case I’m under a sheet and a leg or arm comes out. In
case it has to be exposed to the camera.
AE:
Ah, so you’re ready.
RM:
Well, I wouldn’t say I’m ready yet. I’m
gettin’ there.
AE:
Good for you. The website says something about a “unique
partnership” that you form with Julia and Gina. Is that
anything that you know more about?
RM: [sing-song]
I do know something about that… I do. Ohhh, it’s
always so tricky with these things. What can I divulge without
giving away--what does it say on the website? Because I haven’t
looked. It says we have a unique partnership?
AE:
Yes, it says Liz develops a unique partnership with those
two characters.
RM: Which is true.
AE:
[Laughs]
RM:
Is that pathetic? It’s true, that website. Unique in
a couple of ways.
AE:
Unique in a couple of ways?
RM: Yeah.
AE:
Are we talking business partnership or is this purely personal
alliances?
RM: I think a little of both.
AE:
So, I don’t know if you’re able to address this,
but I have heard from a few sources-
RM: Uh oh.
AE:
-that a relationship develops between Julia and Gina. Is there
anything you know about that?
RM:
I would say…maybe. But it might be the wrong combo.
AE:
Maybe but the wrong combo…? Is that a riddle?
RM:
Um, it’s a riddle, but I’m saying that what you’ve
heard, it might not be that combo.
AE:
I see. Well, I’ve definitely heard that Julia gets into
some kind of lesbian affair, so maybe it’s not with
Gina?
RM: Yeah.
AE:
Well, maybe it’s with you. That would be interesting…
RM: Uhhhh…well,
there are variations on both. Yeah. So…yeah. Not that
combo. I can say that much, I think.
AE:
About which combo?
RM:
It’s not the Julia/Gina combo.
AE:
What do you think about how much serious material you get
or will be getting?
RM: Well, I think this third year Liz will have more
of a presence on the show, which I just love.
AE:
I guess she’s had some very serious material in past
seasons, but this year maybe it will be serious in positive
ways.
RM:
Yeah. I think so. Or at least she’ll have to deal with
something and pull up her bootstraps and try to make sense
of it all. So, yeah, I think it will be nice for her to get
something.
