Good afternoon!
School is back in session for Glee superstar Lea Michele. Michele tweeted a photo of her first day back on set with the caption “#berryisback!!!!!!!!!!!” Michele is obviously very excited to return to work since she typed out eleven exclamation points. I counted.
And since Michele is providing us all with a Glee play by play guess what she’s up to today? (I miss mystery.)
Speaking of Glee, Dianna Agron is on the cover of September’s Cosmopolitan magazine. In her interview, Agron stresses the importance of keeping her public life and private life separate and uses Lindsay Lohan as an example of what not to do. Agron said, “It’s really sad looking at people like Lindsay Lohan. She’s an amazing actress, but you see what happens when people know too much about your personal life. [People] start not being able to look at you the same way professionally. I don’t want that to happen to me.”
I’m sure Agron meant no harm in referencing Lohan, but I still feel bad for Lindsay. Why is that when male celebrities mess up (e.g. Robert Downey Jr. in the 1990s) Hollywood and the fans are so forgiving, but when a female performer has a bump in the road, the media and the audience are so much harder on them? My rant aside, Agron is extremely photogenic.
Out actress and True Blood star Fiona Shaw recently discussed vampires and witches with NY Magazine. Shaw, who plays a powerful Wiccan named Marnie on the HBO show said, “I’ve never seen a vampire show before this one. Can you believe it? So I was very excited to play a witch. It puts the vocabulary of witches back on the imaginative scale, and it gives you a new eye for them. I’ve been playing at casting them when I’m looking at people at bus stops, on the subway: Who’s a vampire, and who’s a witch? That’s one of the delightful things about the series. Everyone looks normal in Sam’s bar, and then you look again, and you find they have more gifts, and more drawbacks. True Blood celebrates the fact that we should never underestimate anyone.” In related good news, True Blood has officially been renewed for a fifth season!

Rosie O’Donnell will guest star on Showtime’s Web Therapy. Star and producer Lisa Kudrow is in her fourth season of the popular web series and O’Donnell will likely play one of Kudrow’s online therapy patients. Ladies, if you need therapy, don’t do it via web camera.
Academy Award-winning actress and Conan O’Brien-look-alike Tilda Swinton stars in the thriller We Need to Talk About Kevin. Swinton plays the grieving mother of a teenage boy who goes on a high school killing spree. The film lands in theaters September 28.
Tonight out comedian Fortune Feimster will be on Chelsea Lately‘s round table. And tomorrow night Feimster and the Comedians of Chelsea Lately tour will be performing at the City National Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, CA at 8:30 p.m.
As we’ve previously reported, on August 14, comedians Kathy Griffin and Margaret Cho guest star on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva. In their episode Griffin and Cho go head to head and create the inevitable blooper reel.

Tomorrow night, August 12, k.d. lang will be taking her magical pipes to the Oregon Zoo Amphitheatre in Portland. Lang and The Siss Boom Bang band will hit the stage at 7 p.m. and the show will feature a guitar solo by a llama.
