Afternoon Delight: Samantha Ronson is all banged up, Tegan and Sara work the red carpet

Today is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s. You’re welcome!

Last night our favorite bespectacled Bossypants Tina Fey was spotted leaving the set of the Late Show with David Letterman in New York. The five-months pregnant Emmy winner will appear on Friday’s show (April 15). Fey and her fetus are making the talk show rounds promoting her new book, which has been receiving rave reviews.

Scream 4 co-stars Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts cozied up at their horror film’s premiere at Redbury Hotel in Hollywood. Roberts shared some saliva with Panettiere’s forehead.

Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone) has been receiving flack ever since she was cast as Katniss in the upcoming The Hunger Games. In an interview with Teen Vogue, Lawrence says she understands the mixed reactions to her casting. “The cool thing about Katniss is that every fan has such a personal relationship with her,” Jennifer says, “and they understand and know her in a singular way. I’m a massive fan too, so I get it.” I’m sure Lawrence will do a tremendous job.

Lindsay Lohan might be returning to the big screen in the mobster family biopic Gotti: Three Generations. Victoria Gotti handpicked Lohan to play her in the upcoming film. It’s rumored that the 24-year-old Lohan beat out actresses Blake Lively and Sienna Miller for the role, although when MTV News reached out to Lohan’s representatives they would not confirm or deny her involvement with the project saying, “You’d have to ask Victoria Gotti.” No, I’m asking you! Tell me!

In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Work Out‘s Jackie Warner offered diet tips to those who want to develop a bikini body this summer.

Warner said, “The big secret is it’s 75-80% diet. Definitely working out changes your body type but it’s really about nutrition. Food has a pharmacological effect on the system. So you can change your sleep patterns, your mood swings, your brain chemistry — all with food.” So wait, if you eat healthier and exercise you’ll lose weight and be in better shape? Brilliant!

Last night I attended ELLE’s annual Women in Music Event in Hollywood, which honored Willow Smith, Robyn, Aretha Franklin, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Florence Welch, Nicki Minaj and Stevie Nicks. Among the performers was Sara Quin, who sang “Why Even Try” with Theophilus London. Sara, along with her sister Tegan, also walked the red carpet before the show. The video below shows just how glamorous and exciting working the red carpet can be!

Speaking of Stevie Nicks (my wife’s ears are ringing right now), her new music video with Dave Stewart “Cheaper Than Free” has been selected as the video of the week on iTunes. Take a listen and if you like it you can download it for free. Nicks’ album In Your Dreams will be available May 3.

Beth Ditto is joining the free download train (I want to be the train’s conductor!) too. Ditto’s song “I Wrote the Book” is also available to download on iTunes for free. Today is Free Day!

These days if you go to a movie theater, Natalie Portman will most likely be in whatever film you choose to see. If you’re not sick of Portman yet, check out the trailer for her newest movie Hesher (she stars and also produced it). Hesher debuted at the Sundance film festival and will be released in theaters on May 17. Here’s the trailer:

What do you think of Portman’s extra large eyeglasses in the film? Should we be worried about her corneas?

Super gay comedian Fortune Feimster will be returning to the Chelsea Lately round table this Thursday April 14, alongside comedians Sarah Colonna and Natasha Leggero. Set your DVR to E! and watch Feimster represent!

Lesbian/Bi Photo of the Day:

DJ Samantha Ronson had a bike accident over the weekend and ended up with two black eyes. Ronson Tweeted the above picture and warned her followers, “Wear a helmet kids!!! Let this be a lesson … if you have a driver’s license you probably don’t need to be on a bmx bike.” I wish Ronson and her pretty eyes speedy recovery.

See you tomorrow!
