Queen Latifah is coming back to the small screen. The Oscar-nominated actress will be launching a syndicated daytime talk show in Fall 2013. This is not Latifah’s first time at the talk show rodeo; Latifah previously hosted the The Queen Latifah Show, which ran from 1999 to 2001. Whatever Queen Latifah is selling, I’m buying.

The late John Lennon‘s widow, artist and philanthropist Yoko Ono, has launched an “Imagine There’s No Hunger” campaign, named after Lennon’s famous song “Imagine.” Ono has teamed up with the Hard Rock for the global campaign aiming to raise money and awareness for childhood hunger and poverty.
Last night, out artist Jessie J performed at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London. J wore another one of her fabulous striped get-ups with an outstanding multicolored wig. I desperately want to raid her closet. (On a side note, can I wear a leotard to a wedding?) J will return to the Apollo tonight for another sold out concert.
Noomi Rapace has signed on to re-team with director Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) for the new action-thriller Dead Man Down. Rapace will play a woman who seduces and blackmails a gangster, played by Colin Farrell.
Amanda Seyfried is the latest actress rumored to be in talks to star in the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace. Peter Sarsgaard is also being considered to play the Deep Throat star’s husband, Chuck Traynor. The film will be based on the biography, The Complete Linda Lovelace.
Just to clarify, there are two Linda Lovelace biopics scheduled to start shooting in January 2012. Out actress Lindsay Lohan was previously attached to Lovelace’s other biopic, Inferno, based on Lovelace’s autobiography Ordeal, but the role has since been taken over by Malin Ackerman. (Why does the world need two Linda Lovelace biopics?)
On December 7 The Hollywood Reporter will honor acclaimed actress, author and activist Jane Fonda with the 2011 Sherry Lansing Leadership Award. Out actress Jodie Foster, Meryl Streep (The Hours) and Albert Nobb‘s star Glenn Close have all taken home the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award in years past. Congratulations to Fonda!
Speaking of Glenn Close, the Tokyo International Film Festival honored her with the Best Actress award for her performance in Albert Nobbs. I can’t wait to see this movie!
