Afternoon Delight: PETA honors Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde, new video from Psalm One

Happy birthday to Sara Ramirez. The Grey’s Anatomy star turns 36 today.

As we’ve previously reported, Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have teamed up with Revlon Cosmetics. The lovely actresses will lend their lovely faces to a slew of commercials and campaigns that will be released early next year.

Since Revlon is a cruelty-free cosmetics company PETA has decided to honor them along with Stone and Wilde, who will receive the “Kind Choices Award.”

Kathy Guillermo, PETA’s VP of Laboratory Investigations said, “Emma, Olivia, and Revlon have our thanks for encouraging millions of fashion-forward young women to choose makeup that’s luxurious, not lethal. Cruelty-free companies such as Revlon make it easy for all of us to get a glamorous look without harming a hair on a bunny’s head.”

Stone and Wilde will each receive a framed certificate. That’s it? They are saving bunnies lives here! At least give them a gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Bisexual actress Evan Rachel Wood stars in The Ides of March alongside Ryan Gosling. Check out Wood’s flirting skills in the below clip. (Hey Evan, I’ll have a drink with you!)

My high school English teach always told me to write what you know. 30 Rock‘s Tina Fey might be doing just that. Fey confirms that her staff might base a future episode on Tracy Morgan‘s homophobic scandal. (During a comedy show Morgan told a Nashville audience that he’d kill his son if he acted gay.)

Fey told Deadline, “It’s the kind of story that even if it happened to someone else, we would probably turn it into a Tracy story. So we may use it.” New episodes of 30 Rock return to NBC in January.

As we’ve already mentioned, Chaz Bono will be taking his dancing skills to ABC’s hit show Dancing with the Stars. Sadly the DWTS message boards have been blown up with hundreds of comments attacking ABC‘s casting and chastising Bono for being transgender. For example:

HUGE HUGE fan of this show since season two and eagerly await each season to get my dancing/entertainment ‘fix’! But when I heard that Chaz Bono was going to be on, I was sick. Not that I have anything personally against her/him, I just don’t want that lifestyle choice continually flaunted in the media esp. ABC.

The DWTS fan doesn’t have anything “personally against” Bono, but knowing he’ll be on the show makes them “sick”? Does that sentiment even make any sense? Thankfully, many came to Bono and ABC’s defense and are eager to watch him on the dance floor.

This Saturday “The Lady Killer Tour” takes on The Roxy in Los Angeles. Sick of Sarah, Hunter Valentine and Vanity Theft will be performing at 7 p.m. (9009 Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood.)

On Friday, September 9, Samantha Ronson is taking her musical skills to The Bowery Electric in New York City (327 Bowery). Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for this 18 and older show featuring The Happy Problem and Brooklyn What.

Speaking of New York, this weekend the popular lesbian bar Henrietta Hudson will be throwing their 6th Annual Labor Day Weekend White Party. The party starts Sunday, September 4 at 9 p.m. and guests must wear white to the event. Seriously, if you don’t wear a white top then they won’t let you in.
