The cast of Glee wants you to stop texting while driving! U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and Twentieth Century Fox are teaming up for a PSA featuring scenes from a “heart-stopping episode of Glee to encourage young adults to Stop the Texts. Stop the Wrecks.” If Naya Rivera tells me to put down my cell phone, then I’ll have to oblige.
Speaking of Glee, somehow I stumbled across a banner ad featuring Jane Lynch endorsing the National College Finance Center. Random, right?
Chloë Sevigny (Hit & Miss) is joining the cast of Portlandia for the show’s third season. Sevigny will play Alexandra, Fred and Carrie’s new roommate. Oh, this is going to be good. Portlandia‘s third season premieres in January 2013 on IFC.
Janina Gavankar (True Blood, The L Word) has signed on for Fox’s upcoming comedy The Goodwin Games. The series, co-starring Scott Foley and Becki Newton, follows a trio of estranged siblings who team up with the goal to inherit their father’s fortune.
I finally went to see The Dark Knight Risesand was happily surprised when I saw out actress Jillian Armenante (Girl, Interrupted, Bad Teacher) appear at the end of the film. Armenante played a lawyer’s clerk and the film was insanely good.
