The award-winning British series Misfits is heading to Logo (AfterEllen.com’s parent company). The show’s first season will premiere Thursday, July 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Dania Ramirez (X-Men: The Last Stand) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt team up for the bicycle action film Premium Rush. I know this movie is supposed to be serious, but I found myself laughing through the entire trailer. It could only be better if the bikes were switched out with unicycles or segways, but then the movie would be really long.

On June 13 Glee‘s Jane Lynch will join Bill Maher for “Stand-Up for Animals” at The Comedy Store’s Main Room (8433 W. Sunset Blvd.) in Los Angeles. The 8 pm comedy show will also feature out comedian Carol Leifer and the event’s proceeds will go to PETA’s efforts to stop animal abuse. The Comedy Store will even feature a special vegan menu for this event.
As Trish mentioned briefly this morning in the Brew, yesterday President Obama caused some serious traffic in Los Angeles when he flew in for his celebrity fundraiser at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The event was hosted by Ellen DeGeneres with a performance by Glee‘s Darren Criss and numerous A-list gays stars in attendance, such as Jane Lynch, Chaz Bono and Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Stephanie Miller posed with the one and only Cher at last night’s event and posted the below photo on her Facebook page.
Tonight Iron Chef‘s Cat Cora will be at the Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles doing a cooking demonstration for the Great American Chef Tour. Cora will be doing two demos (6 p.m. and 8 p.m.) which will be filmed for TV, so if you plan on attending, make sure you look purrty.
